That was Game 4. The huge comeback win in LA.

I stand corrected...... I guess my mind is like Reagan's in his 2nd term, all cobwebs and such

@ PP4 Stop being a ray allen apologist.if you love him so much either join him to miami or become a heat fan.dude slapped us in the face and you still rooting for him.you have the right to still support him, but please stop telling us fans mad at him to not be or trying to change our minds. It is not going to happen.

If Ray's primary reason for leaving the Celtics was because he felt betrayed and thought the Celtics were not loyal to him, then what does this say about him? Way to show everyone what's the right thing to do Ray. Really classy.

PP$,you seriously don't get it.Ignore all us fans getting mad.Can you imagine how,KG,Paul Pierce,Doc,Rondo feels. They give they blood and sweat tp try and defeat the Miami Heat who they despise and what does ray allen do,Gives them the middle finger and says **** of and sign with the heat and for less money. How insulting

KG would have signed with any team he wants too.He played at an MVp level this offseason. He deserved to get paid big money too but what does he do.KG doesnt even contact any other team and signs with us for less money.

I don't want to hear ALLEN was right to want to be traded because he was involved in trade rumors every year. That argument is stupid and lacks financial backing. so do other Celtic players.

1.Rondo was involved for chris paul
Westbrook
Pau Gasol
2.Paul pierce
To the nets for Gerald Wallace
Paul Gasol

3.Kg

For josh smith.

Jeez, I'm just sitting here in bed at 4:30 AM thinking about what could have been. The big 3 adding on to their title count and their legacy this year. All 3 of them retiring together after 7 long years and two championships. But reality still hasn't even hit me yet. I'm just sitting here reading all of your posts in complete awe. Ray Allen will be a member of the Miami Heat. A guy that was widely regarded as a peaceful, classy, and loyal dude is betraying the team he won a championship with to go clutch onto the balls of the big three and ride them to a couple more. I'm only fifteen now, and I can't even think about watching the TV specials on the air five, ten, or fifteen years from now discussing the big 3's legacy. I have no clue what I'll think about his decision ten years from now or even tomorrow, but I think I'm gonna make my dad take me on the trip up to Boston when they face Ray in the heat so I can boo his arse so hard with all the other Celtics fans. Mixed emotions right now; sorry for all the scrambled thoughts all jumbled together into one big paragraph, I just don't even know what's going on.

Ha. Don't sleep on RR. I'd take his 2nd term over both Bushes, Clinton and Obama every day of the week.

Don't worry. We can still win without him. Terry is a better overall player, and younger.

No hard feelings for Ray, but I just can't wait to see Ray's face when we will beat the Heat.

Talk about silent egomaniac.. :D He wanted 27 mil/3 year deal to stay with the Celtics, took 9 mil/3 year deal to go to the Heat.. Not to mention he wanted "to stick it to the Celtics"... We loved you, Ray! The Jet will kill u in the playoffs!

What poetic justice it will be when the Celtics eliminate the Heat in the playoffs.

:D

This would be 1 of the best moments in my time watching the NBA, if not the best.. I'm confident, we're beating Miami this season regardless of Ray going there... The only thing Judas could've done to make him look like a bigger douchebag is an ESPN live decision.. :o Oh wai.. he has a buddy, who already did that.. I almost forgot .. :o

Well, I'm sad to see him go.

I looked back on the Miami series and his plus minus was terrible. I wonder if there was some latent sabotage going on there. I watched him and yes Rondo wasn't making the pass to him, but Allen's separation off the picks really wasn't that good. I attributed the lack of separation to his ankles, but maybe his heart really wasn't in beating his future team.

He's not a Celtic at heart so it is probably best he moves on. I hope he doesn't turn into a Leon Powe. If he does, his ankles were the culprit. If he starts to shoot lights out (which it looks like will be the case), then he left the team after the trade fell through.

Bradley is the future. I still hope the best for Allen despite his change in loyalties.

I am not surprised. We should have traded him 2-3 years ago. He was killing our offence, being the primary target and his defence was really bad. He was also the main reason we lost against LA in the finals, he simply could not make a shot...

I was never a big fan of his, I thought he was by far the biggest disappointment from the big three and overrated. I will always appreciate him helping us get another banner but in the last 2-3 years he just did not fit here any more, IMO.

I would still take him for 20 minutes off the bench as a role player but not in a bigger role. The thing is he is perfect fit for the heat, so he will help them much more than he would help us.

Let`s move on. The guy just ruined his legacy here. And there will be nothing sweeter than eliminating his beloved heat from the playoffs!

Let`s go, Celtics!

Ray threw the Miami series.

I was OK with it being 8 on 5. I understand this is a business and the league from a marketing point of view wanted Miami to win. But 9 on 4 is just a sad betrayal on Ray's part.

The plus minus is clear for Ray. The three games we won (+1,+2,+2), Ray had a positive plus minus of +1.7 on average. On the four games we lost Ray had four negative plus minus (-9,-2,-6,-9) for an average -4.5. The critical last two games he was playing at a -7.5 clip.

We weren't going to win. That was written. At least we had no major injuries this year. Ray wanted to stick it to the Celtics, and he did. It is hard for me to appreciate that kind of betrayal. I don't wish him ill, but he's not going to be protected by the refs like Wade and James are. He's old and fragile. There are many teams that don't have the class of the Celtics. They'll vent their frustration with the refs on the old and the fragile. He choose this course.

As sports fans we get reminded sometimes that we`re oftentimes bigger fans of our team than are the players on it, and certainly we almost always have more passion against rival teams than the players on the team we cheer for.

Ray, thanks for your efforts and professionalism while a Celtic, as a Heat I hope you never win another game or score another point.
