Joel's a hard worker and has great mobility, but I won't blink if it takes his departure to bring in Camby. At all.

I'd have sworn he would have been a part of us countering the Thunder's screen game, but it was so much less taxing to watch our lineup without worrying about his deficiencies. Plus, I'm excited to see what Varnado can do, let alone interested in Camby's presence at the rim and rebounding.

I should add that I'd be stunned if Houston was that interested in him. :lol:

Is it true Varnado is joining? Isn't he on the summer league team? Reminds me.. if it's really 15 bucks for it I"ll buy it and watch our scrubs go at it lol!!

Joel I learned helps us because he's our best screener.... but a game isn't a Heat game without a random offensive foul by Joel! :lol:

Ah well, if this is true, it was nice to have THE WARDEN!!

Joel has also bothered a lot of teams. Mostly the Knicks I noticed. They have like, no answer for his energy lol.

I felt sthg will go with joel this summer, once in the last game spolestra entered the whole bench during blowout but not joel.

Joel was needed vs the Pacers to guard Hibbert. Some lockdown defense on Amare. That's pretty much it

I really love Joel. he's not talent but he's OUR untlanted guy. i hope we dont have to give him up, but if we had no other choice we'll just have to open him an appreciation goodbye thread.

I do hope Varnado can become an upgraded version of Joel, maybe a better rebounder and probably with better hands and offensive game.

Camby is old and sometimes gets injured, so if we trade Joel for him we'll need Dexter, Varnado and Justin to be solid for us.

I said at the start of the offseason that my dream would be

1) One of Allen/Nash
2) Lewis
3) Oden

...but that I didn't expect it to happen.

Well, we got Allen, which IMO makes this offseason a success. If we get even 1 of Lewis/Camby, I'd be ecstatic.
