The Rockets are open to a sign-and-trade with the Heat for free agent Marcus Camby.
The Heat have only the veteran minimum to work with right now, but could conceivably send back a combination of players, picks, and cash to Houston and offer Camby a salary that he'll deem acceptable. Shane Battier and Joel Anthony's names have been kicked around as possible assets to send back to Houston, but nothing substantive has come out on that front.
So the question is..if Houston is stuck on Battier or nothing....
Do you make that trade?
I disliked Shane for some of his awful games in the playoffs. But when it was time....Shane made all the little plays. He stepped up and played consistent defense and offense in the finals. And he also made a key tip pass to Chalmers to solidify a victory over the Thunder in game 4.
Again....It will be tough to trade Shane..
Plus...Im still on the "If he's healthy by then"...sign Greg Oden in January. Again..I want Camby if the Heat can get him. But I'd hate to give up Shane. He takes on the tough assignments to give LeBron a break on defense.
