^ JK

But I'm 16 I play PG on my highschool team and I'm also a cross country and track runner. I'm 6'1" 175 and I'm very fast with a great vertical leap. I think once he's about 63-73 I could beat him.

I would've spanked him when he was in high school.

Considering that he was an All-American, is still (to my knowledge) the only HS player to ever average a triple double for a season (something like 31/11/11), and completely dominate the McDonald's All-American game setting a points record that either still stands or stood for 25+ years (I think it may have been tied or broken at some point the last few years), I'd say you're wrong. ;)

I didn't take it seriously, I was just citing some facts that people might not know. I do hope you get banned, however, since I have been banned for far less than outright calling someone on "idiot."

I didn't know MJ averaged a triple double in high school - interesting.

I'm comfortably sure I could beat a 22yo Micheal Jordan. That'd be my best chance for sure.

I want to play Devil's advocate for AUF, because I think the topic is actually pretty interesting.
We don't who this guy is, but it's not actually impossible that in a basketball forum we can find a player who actually could be a decent in his prime. Let's assume AUF is this player and he's not just BSing us.
The question thn would be, how good would this player need to be to be competitive with jordon in a 1vs1 situation?
That doesn't mean being better than him at 40 overall, but being competitive in a certain set up, where a lot of the things that make a player great wouln't be useful. For instance, I'm sure many guys in the world could have beaten Stockton at 40 1vs1, without being 1/10th of the player.

Back to the topic, I don't think jordon would be an easy guy to handle for a non pro shorter than him. He might have issues stopping a good D1 level offensive player (might very well have been), but during his retirement the guy has been able to take his shot off against real NBA caliber defenders with defenders ready to help. I can't imagine what he could do to a 6-4 guy with the space and time to post him up and pick his spots, unless the guy is a freak with All NBA defence. But this kind of guys (with a 3 point shot) always have a career, coaches can always use them UNLESS they are serious headcases.
AUF, I can even believe you could have won some games about Baron Davis (I assume not super motivated and in top form, though), but I really don't see how you could do anything to stop a bigger and immensely more skilled (most likely...) guy against whom I'm sure you'll have no mental edge. If you're really great 1vs1 you can try trading punches with him (loser's ball, winner's I'd give you no chances), but you'd have to be really really good and with a deadly jumper. But then I can't imagine how you didn't become a pro, unless yu had really a career ending injury.

I could probably lay him out in his prime. He played in a weak era with midgets so, it's not like he has much experience going up against studs.
