Atleast they won't be able to steal Dwight like they did Shaq.
Not to hate on Kobe, but this is the reason he will never be like Mike. Seriously, all fans do nowadays is complain about 'super teams, of which Kobe has relied on throughout his career.
Shaq proved this when he jumped to the Heat and won one for Wade. Now that Lebron helped Dwayne to another, Kobe must be getting antsy because his current squad of former all-stars have become stagnant. Out with the old, in with the new, is his motto, I guess.
David Stern did not fix anything. The NBA will suffer if another super team is formed in LA, sure it might thrive in LA, but overall it will suffer.
I guess the only good part about Dwight to LA is that he will put Kobe in his place.
Why does a player that some assert to be in Jordan's class, have to be surrounded by elite players to be effective? This will be the prevailing question surrounding Kobe after he retires.
Too much false in your post..But let me explain this quickly...
1 - 34 years of age out of his prime with nearly 51k miles on his body
2 - Miami has 3 stars and an even deeper team
3 - OKC has 3 stars and an even deeper team
That's the direction the league is heading...Let me ask you something, why isn't this an issue in Miami, OKC, or BK if they were to acquire Howard? (Especially when the star players on each respective team is in his prime?)
Agreed, the landscape of the NBA changed when Lebron formed his own super team. Now everyone will. Changing with the changing times is smart or you will be left behind.

Kobe's not ASKING for Dwight to come over. He's happy with the slow-footed, oft-lazy Andrew Bynum. If the Lakers pounce on the opportunity to get a dominant big man, why blame Kobe for that?

Libra scale :
Bynum +filler vs. Lopez+Brooks+ pick
swapping out best center for second best center vs a PF/C who doesn't rebound and will command 12+mil per season.

Kobe could have 0 or 10 rings and he would never be considered the next MJ because he didn't play as well as MJ did. How many titles Kobe won or will win is not relevant.

People see that potential of the 6th title and it scares them.
Here's what I don't understand, if championships don't matter and it won't change how you feel about a player why do people root against said player ? Or when people see that said player is in position to win a title root against them. That doesn't make sense to me

The reality is that a 6th title and 3rd FMVP would leap frog Kobe over Duncan, Bird, Hakeem, Shaq and it won't even be debatable anymore.
This board would hate that, Kobe is killing all time greats with longevity.

Shaq was signed in the summer of 1996 and Kobe was still being drafted. What are you talking about?....
I'm so tired of the typical......

Add the fact that Kobe winning a 6 ring distances himself away from Lebron even farther, and certain fan's want no part of that...

It's like when Peyton manning fans would root against Tom Brady in the last 2 superbowls.
And then be the same ones and comeback and say, "well I don't care about Championships that's a team accomplishment".
Well if you don't care and it doesn't matter to you, why root against him?
What that tells me is, you KNOW they matter. You just don't want the guy you hate to win them. And that's ok, but don't sugarcoat it. People are still mad from the last 2 rings and finals MVP's

@PeteZayas @RaulRive12: As of now, and what I'm told, 65 % Brooklyn, 35% Lakers.
