ESPN is constantly trolling

Post#1 » by Sejope » Sat Jul 7, 2012 2:14 pm

Seriously, what the hell is wrong with ESPN. With no other team do they ask such ridiculous questions as

Image

In my opinion, they feed off of the hate and are part of the reason so many NBA fans can't stand us. I guarantee you that on every Sportcenter show today they will ask if Ray Allen's decision to join this team will get as much backlash as LeBron's.

They really need to stop because all they are doing is feeding the fire. Why not just talk about how he helps our team or how many wins will be added because of his addition. Talk about how it effects the Celtics. DO NOT, however, talk about him being a traitor after everything he's endured in Boston.

Sometimes, I really just can't stand ESPN.

Ray endured so much in Boston. He's a survivor.

I'd say that being told you're going to be traded 2 or 3 different times after helping your team win a championship is enough to want to leave.

The point is that he was a FA and had the right to leave. No need for ESPN to post that poll asking if he was a traitor.

Of course he had the right to leave. He was told he was being traded once, though. The Celtics also tried to trade Paul Pierce to the Nets and Rajon Rondo a number of times over the years. It's part of the business, just as free agency is. But for Ray to get so upset about it is what's kind of odd to me. It's his choice, though...that's the beauty of free agency.

The hypocrisy not only in the NBA but also in the NHL, MLB, NFL is baffling. When the team trades you, it's a business. When you leave the team through free agency, it's being a traitor. Give me a break. Ray had every right to leave as a FA.

As for ESPN, they're nothing but trolls. They have no other good stories so they focus on us. I was kind of annoyed that they dedicated a whole page just for the Heat. That's why I don't watch ESPN or pay attention to their junk. NBA TV is much better.

it's quite funny to see how most Heat fans ignore the fact that Boston people are not pissed off because he's left, but because he joined the C's main rivals just a month after a heated playoff battle.

Not even mention the fact that Ray repeatedly mentioned how the C's were a family to him, etc etc

Anyway the whole thing is more symbolic than anything else, the Celtics are better off without Ray and the Heat are just slightly better with him.

Yeah, the Ray story is all over ESPN while you see "Steve Nash to Lakers" in footnotes. Phoenix and LA rival has dated back for years and Phoenix just ups and helps Nash go to LA? I mean what the?

Well ESPN is looking for the most attention. No one outside of us Heat fans want to read about how great Lebron is, what a great addition Ray will be, about the fact that this helps our chances to repeat.

Everyone just wants to read negative things about the Heat and so, ESPN gives them that as they want the audience (mainly Bulls, Knicks, Celtics fans) to click on their articles.

Plus I think Jon Barry's step cousin does the headlines for ESPN.

Just remember how much JVG criticized heavily on the very company that sends him checks about how they cover Lebron James and the Heat.

No one is saying that Boston fans don't have a right to be upset. What I'm saying is that why bring everyone else into it on ESPN.

I actually thought this thread was gonna be about something else. I was watching the promo for the 2012 ESPY's and they have a little highlight of every champion from the past year from the Giants to the Cardinals and even some LA King action. Guess what though, not one highlight from the Heat. There is without a doubt someone high in ESPN with an agenda against MIami.

This. ESPN's coverage has gotten steadily worse in the past few years for nearly every sport. They have to push absurd storylines because they're probably losing their audience to Internet sources. The sensationalism on there is awful at times, I really wish there was a better sports network.

I don't really give a f*** about them. The only thing I'm emotional about is winning. If we lose, I'm pissed, no matter what ESPN writes. If we win, I'm happy no matter what ESPN writes. I know how good our team and our players are and no matter what those queens say or write, they can't take away our championships.
