Suns current depth chart.

Post#1 » by SUNTASTIC » Sun Jul 8, 2012 1:58 am

PG: Dragic, Marshall, Telfair

SG: Dudley

SF: Beasley, Childress

PF: Frye, Morris, Warrick

C: Gortat

I think we'll get Gordon here and try to bring back Michael Redd.
So I can see the shooting gaurds looking like:

1. Gordon
2. Dudley
3. Redd

Shannon Brown coming back is iffy. He was a good scorer but lacked in shots at times.

If only there was a way to get rid of Warrick, Childress, Brown and Telfair and bring in few more decent players. :(

Michael Redd is the favorite over Brown to return to Phoenix. Redd when healthy is a dangerous sharp shooter.

Well we don't have Brooks or Lopez, so they shouldn't be on our depth chart at all.

Goran, Marshall, Telfair. (unless we still have Gentry, then Telfair gets the 2nd string job and Marshall gets a ton of DNPs)

Dudley gets the SG spot until we a real SG
Chilldress gets the start until we get a real SG, then Dudley gets it, Warrick
I would start Beasley at the four and move Frye to the backup center, Morris
Gortat, Frye

If we cant get Hill back, I wouldn't mind Redd, but I would rather see Lighty make the squad, since we are going young. We still have a good mix of vets. I still would like to get Sean Williams, since character issues aren't a concern for this FO. And let Lopez walk, unless we can get RL for super cheap.

Shamsports shows Telfair's salary as $1,567,500 but it is also listed as un-guaranteed. I thought it was a guaranteed 2 year contract.

Is this years salary guaranteed or unguaranteed?

I read that it is fully guaranteed now. I read that the cut off date was July 1st, but that info could be completely false. His contract has been misinterpreted so many times.

I think only like $500,000 of it was guaranteed, meaning that would be the buyout if he doesn't come back.

He's worth having around though at that price, so may as well keep him anyway.

You make too many assumptions in your roster. Where's Gordon? Where is Hill?

If we acquire those players I think Dudley would be better tat SF.

I would have the line-up as:

Dragic/Marshall
Gordon/Redd
Beasley/Dudley
Markieff/Frye
Gortat/Lopez

Telfair's contract became fully guaranteed in May. No buyout. The buyout would have had to been exercised a while ago.

Where are Childress and Warrick?

Do you have Childress getting amnestied?

I can see Suns moving Warrick for a TPE to a team struggling to hit the minimum team salary.

I was just listing the starters and bench.

Reserves would be: Telfair,Childress, Warrick

Yup. 100% accurate; assuming Gordon gets signed. Telfair, Warrick would be 11th and 12th men. 13th guy would be some unknown Summer leaguer since Childress will presumably be amnestied.

------------

Now, assuming they get rid of Lopez (or Morris) for S&T to get Gordon, then you're going to have to sign a minimum salary free agent big man...I'm thinking Lou Amundson. 11th guy would be Telfair, 12th guy would be Warrick, and 13th guy would be unknown Summer Leaguers to fill out the roster.

Dragic, Marhsall
Gordon, Redd (although I'd prefer Shannon due to better defense)
Beasley, Dudley
Frye, Lou
Gortat, Lopez

Dragic/Marshall/Telfair
Gordon/Redd/Lighty
Beasley/Dudley/Childress
Morris/Frye
Gortat/Amundson

This would my ideal roster for next season.

i think dudley can play both positions, don´t know how much redd has in tank so let dudley
be the first guy coming off the bench for gordon or beasley

Props to the great one

Dragic-Marshall-Telfair
Gordon-Dudley
Beasley-Hill-Childress
Frye-Beasley-Warrik
Gortat-Lopez-FA

I think Morris will go to NO in a S&T, with a couple of picks.

This is a decent team, probably a playoff team.

^This is what I want. However, I see the Hornets taking Marshall over Morris, Markieff would be playing low minutes anyway behind Davis. I was going to say they might try and take Robin Lopez with em, but I can't see the Suns willing to trade two of the three (Marshall/Morris/Lopez), since most likely they will be getting two first and two seconds.

I might be the only one but I still want to see Beasley at the 4. Well, I guess it depends on what Grant will do. Add David Lighty, he is a really good defender and three point shooter. I think RDG and JV wanted him last season. My dream lineups for next season would be:

With Grant Hill:

PG: Goran Dragic / Kendall Marshall / Sebastian Telfair
SG: Eric Gordon / Michael Redd / David Lighty
SF: Grant Hill / Jared Dudley / Josh Childress
PF: Michael Beasley / Markieff Morris / Hakim Warrick
C: Marcin Gortat / Channing Frye

Without Grant Hill:

PG: Goran Dragic / Kendall Marshall / Sebastian Telfair
SG: Eric Gordon / Michael Redd / David Lighty
SF: Michael Beasley / Jared Dudley / Josh Childress
PF: Markieff Morris / Lou Amundson / Hakim Warrick
C: Marcin Gortat / Channing Frye

Regardless of what will happen, I'm excited about our bench unit if we can start Eric Gordon and Beasley/Morris.
