the whole team meeting/prodding thing can EASILY be misinterpreted by either party rondo could say he wanted to make sure everyone aired their thoughts. some who don't like rondo could say he was prodding the younger players, and the player saying he wished he hadn't said anything spoke when it came his turn....no one told him to lie.

i believe this is where media lays it's heavy hand on a story, provide it's own interpretation, and the printed word becomes fact.

I don't accept that comment for one second. This thread was created by someone else, calling Rondo a cancer. I posted an excerpt of when Rondo did something cancer-like in the thread, completely on-topic.

Learn what troll means. It's getting to the point that nobody can post anything that even hints at something negative about a player or a fan base will start throwing "troll" or "hater" comments around.

How does him withdrawing from the 2010 FIBA's make him a cancer?

I saw you in the Ray Allen thread posting "news snippets" constantly. I know deep down you're just trying to piss them off. You should probably stop that.

Nope, you have been trolling hard the last day+. What you copy/pasted had nothing to do with being a Cancer as you claimed.

If he can give me multiple triple doubles in the playoffs, I don't care how much of a diva he is.

You have a point, certainly.

I don't think Rondo is a cancer, and whatever happened between him and Ray it's definitely a two sided argument. This whole Ray not liking to take orders/listening to a younger player is bull sh*t. It goes both way. Rondo had to know Ray knew a lot about the game, but at the same time Ray had to be receptive to what Rondo had to offer also.

I don't like the Celtics, but this is a media agenda to ruin Rondo's rep among his peers and fans. That's just the bottom line and anybody refuting that is just stupid.

He comes off as a dick on the court. Rude to officials, and scowls too much for someone playing a game. He just doesn't seem like a likable guy. That's also got something to do with his off-court appearances on camera and comments from some local guys about how he treats people off the court. I wouldn't call him a cancer, but he's not one of those positive locker room guys. He can change with time. PEACE.

How is it bull sh*t?

You don't hear about Pierce & KG having a problem listening to a younger player in Rondo or accepting the fact that this is Rondo's team now, why is it such a problem with Ray Allen? Why is Ray Allen getting a pass for acting like an arrogant diva? And then you have Doc Rivers coming out and saying that Ray was a little jealous because the Celtics tried to re-sign KG before they began contract talks with him. But yet people, not necessarily you are acting as if Ray is some saint and the Celtics management and players just treated him like ****.

Lebron isn't married. He's engaged, but even that didn't happen until December 31, 2011. You have some proof he's been screwing around since then?

All too predictably, the national media narrative is to try and convince everyone that what happens in Miami or LA is saintly and worthy of talk/praise 24/7. Thus, Saint Ray couldn't have been a complete egomaniac and total douche in this situation. After all, Ray's people told a bunch of stuff to Woj, which found its way into a column.

There can be no other version of events. If one tries to bring any other views/evidence into the picture, they are simply "mad" or butthurt.

Nope, it had to be the most unselfish player in the league, who gives up his own shot to a fault (even though his shot is awful), that caused this to go down. A player who helped Ray achieve a legit, big-time NBA milestone. A player who guided Ray through multiple deep playoff runs.

Such a predictable load of crap. Celtics win a championship and yet they're all permanently pieces of garbage in the media's eyes. Miami/LA do it and its glitz and glamor to the hilt, sweeping tales of redemption for the hugest douchebags in the world, etc.

I have a lot of respect for Rondo. The guy lets it all out on the court. There are very few players that can do that. I don't think everyone hates him.

except the Ray incident is just the latest in a long, long list of Rondo getting into conflict with coaches and other players.

Except if I sat down and tried to construct a similar list of incidents for Ray, Pierce or even KG, I absolutely couldn't.

This isn't about "Boston", its specifically about Rondo. All the way back to his college days he's clashed with other players and coaches--this is NOT a new phenomenon that just surfaced with the Ray conflict.

When have you seen Lebron being a dick off or on the court? And describe what being a dick is. I consider Rondo disrespecting the refs verbally, chucking the ball at them as disrespectful. Off the court, we've seen him shove and try to intimidate reporters/cameramen before. You've never seen that from Lebron. All reports are he's a nice guy. The hate for Lebron is born from people's personal disdain for the guy, not his actions. People who work with him all love him. Figure that. PEACE.
