I have no idea whether that'd stick to him or not, but it's altogether possible. I know fans would hate it something fierce. It's conceivable we'd trade him at the deadline if he hadn't reupped.

Getting Howard wouldn't be the end...Rockets would continue to pursue another 2nd tier borderline star like Smith too...they won't just get Howard and sit around all summer...they will be pursuing other trade opportunities too.
