He is a restricted free agent but we will gladly S&T him to any team that has a late 1st or 2nd round pick and decent to good working washing machine and dryer set.

Assuming Childress gets bashed with the amnesty hammer, how would a Lopez s+t for Gomes ($4m exp) and a 2nd rounder or 2 work for you guys?

I wouldn't turn it down necessarily. Lopez on a multi year would elimiate cap space but for $3m or less, I think Lopez has value. If it gets closer to $4m and above, I think its time to part ways.

Care to expand? Your fellow suns above your post seem open to the idea, and the ones above mine are happy to dump him for a washing machine.

Sure. They have their opinions - as misguided as they might be. They do not match the Suns stated position regarding Lopez. The Suns have said they are matching offers for Lopez. Babby and Blanks and Gentry have universally been pleased with Lopez' play in the second half of the season. He often outplayed Gortat down the stretch and has shown a much needed nasty streak. Suns are not trading a 7" 24 year old center for a 6'4" journeyman tweener forward whose next stop is likely out of the league.

Fair enough, I was unfamiliar with the organisations feelings toward Lopez as a player, and hadnt seen much of him at all this past season. Most depth charts I've read have no intention of retaining him, so I was unaware of the front office intention to match offers, I assumed he had taken a dive in value.
