Three cheers to that, though the opportunity to get to see Amare's cultural leanings in NY was well worth his contract.

Couple of typos you had there, so i fixed it for you. I am a Heat fan, and I HATE NEW YORK, but if you think Morey has you guys in a better situation than the NYK, you're crazy. He is the worst GM in the world, you can't build a basketball team with a calculator.

Anyone else get the feeling that Daryl Morey had sex with this Vampire Diaries guy's wife/sister/mother and then backed over his dog while pulling out of the driveway?

He seems to have an irrational hatred for the general manager of some team that he is not a fan of. The guy would fit in great over at Clutchfans!

as far as the Knicks go - I don't like the team, but I don't hate them. It is fun to screw with their fans (especially the ones who take things a bit too seriously and have some serious blinders), but I've actually liked some of their moves recently. They have put together a good team that could do well in the East...but they have basically gone "all in" with their current roster at a time when the Heat are just hitting their stride. I don't think that the Knicks - as they are currently constructed - can match up with Miami, and they have hamstrung themselves financially so I can't see any moves they could make to put them over the Heat.

Basically just bad timing for NY that they are up against a superteam like Miami.

Vampire Diaries - we get it. You don't like Daryl Morey.

I just think its hilarious every move he makes you guys brag about how wonderful he is, he's a wizard, whoa he smoked that other gm, etc etc....but this is your roster....

1 C - Greg Smith
2 FC - Patrick Patterson
3 FC - Luis Scola
4 FC - Jon Brockman
5 FC - Jon Leuer
6 FC - Dontanas Motiejunas
7 F - Marcus Morris
8 F - Terrence Jones
9 F - Chandler Parsons
10 F - Royce White
11 F - Diamon Simpson
12 SG - Kevin Martin
13 SG - Jeremy Lamb
14 G - Shaun Livingston
15 PG - Courtney Fortson

I'd say somewhere, at some point, you lost out on some of the moves the computer nerd made. That roster doesn't look like a roster that is a result of smart decisions and out-smarting other gm's, it looks like the result of a star wars geek pulling out his pocket calculator trying to create an nba roster. How long are you guys going to support him before you realize he ain't $hit?

Maybe I am a little bias and just expect more from other teams, since my teams are always top notch from top to bottom. In College Football my Alabama Crimson Tide has Nick Saban slaughtering the rest of college football building a machine, and my Miami Heat have Pat Riley butt raping the league right now. Im used to top quality men like Saban and Riley, and it's incredible to me how guys like Morey get jobs.....and then keep them

If you were paying attention to the feeling of Houston Sports fans (and there's no reason you should, being a Heat fan and all) you'd probably have noticed that the fanbase has been turning on him for a while now. Some of us are more patient than others, but the calls for his ouster are not isolated.

Despite how you feel about him and his Star Wars ways, I still do respect that the guy never gets caught up in bad contracts and that he isn't afraid to make moves. I'm a bit more patient with him than most fans on this board because he was never allowed to do what he wanted to do with this roster during the Yao/McGrady years; but if he was replaced tomorrow I wouldn't be upset. At least he would have left a clean slate for whomever replaced him.

As far as GM's in Houston go I'd argue that he's the third most popular (out of 3) at the moment.

What I really can't figure out is why a CW Vampire tv show and Heat fan like you gets so up in arms over a GM of a team who you only face twice a year. Doesn't seem healthy.

Riley? Come on, man - as a Heat fan you know that Dwayne Wade built your current team! ;)

As for your Crimson Tide...I'd say "go easy" on the Aggies in their first season in the SEC, but that wouldn't be fun for anyone!

Probably! I swear I can't stand 'em. People jump on the hottest teams and feel as though they have authority to speak on any topic. Eat a d1ck...

AB started that stupid nerd glasses trend not Russell Westbrook.
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

Is morey content to let everyone walk away... pretty much all our decent players have left except scola, parsons and k-fart... no idea whats gonna happen with patterson next year but besides that we're pretty much screwed...

Camby S&T for Tony Douglas, Josh Harrelson, Jerome Jordan and second round picks in 2014 and 2015. New York will pay the salary of Douglas for the 12-13 season.

I have to say...getting something for Camby when you knew he wasn't going to stay was a nice move. Getting New York to pay the salary of Douglas for the 12-13 season was great. All are 1 year expiring contracts and Jordan and Harrelson are legit bigs. Yes they are not very good, but at least they are 7'0" and 6'10". Plus 2 2nd round pick to sell or trade down the line.

I don't really like what Morey has done so far, but this was a good move.
