Solid argument. Pretty sure Kyrie Irving > nothing, but to each his own.

The Rockets, also still in the hunt for Howard, have a valuable first-round pick acquired from Toronto that is virtually assured of being a lottery selection. But if Houston GM Daryl Morey is unable to land Howard, it seems farfetched that he'd help the Nets get him by facilitating the trade as the third team.

The Nets have begun talks with Lopez's representatives on a contract extension, a step that one person close to Lopez described as "a formality." It is understood that Lopez would garner close to a max deal to be the starting center in Brooklyn or Orlando, depending on how the Nets' pursuit of Howard plays out.

Sam Amick
Source confirms Brooklyn has made progress in its search for a third team to take Kris Humphries in a possible Dwight Howard trade with Orlando. Cleveland is a possibility, as well as numerous Western Conference teams, source says.

looks like a few West Teams would help Brooklyn as well

76ers, Cavaliers, and few Western Conference teams would take on Humphries

i was wondering during last season if bynum was gonna wait till free agency to see what he wanted to rather than re-sign right away...interested in seeing what develops in the next week or so.

I think so.

Some players like to test free agency and put pressure on the organization to make moves.

My intuitions were right.

Lakers fans insisted Bynum just wanted to get "paid" and I knew that wasn't the case. Bynum has no interest in Orlando. Magic would have to be out of their mind to trade for Bynum without an extension.

It will be like Dwightmare all over again for the entire season.

That being said I'm not getting too excited cause the deal could easily fall apart. But if Woj is reporting progress on the talks then it is looking good.

Hopefully this all ends soon.

Either way Laker fans will have Bynum and no bs contracts.

Magic will be locked into a over inflated contract with Lopez who can't rebound or play D.

Nets get Howard who will make them instant contenders in the East.

The Magic sure are dumb if they go with that trade.

I'm confused why Orlando would take on this deal, it's not like the third team is giving them an attractive piece.
