I hope finding a REAL point guard is on his list of things to do this summer too

Charlie Westbrook FTW! :D

Seriously though, Henny believes in Jameer. If he didn't, Jameer wouldn't have gotten that kind of contract. We're not getting anything better this summer. Best hope is for next summer or one coming through the Dwight trade.

Because he's a top 10 center who would actually want to play for us. Would still hate to end up with him though.

I think magic fans have been a little spoiled having watched Dwight play the last few years. Brook isn't THAT bad. Geez.

Agree to disagree. A center averaging 6 boards a game on a near max deal? It's one thing if he's a guard averaging 20 a night. But dude can't even rebound.

I watched alot of Lopez living in the tristate area. Dont let the numbers fool you, his ppg numbers were inflated by being on some very bad teams. He has good midrange game and is athletic enough to finish on fast breaks but doesnt even have decent post game . He is also a terrible rebounder for a 7 footer and is also soft on defense. He will put you in mediocrity for the next 5+ years where you wont be bad enough to get a franchise player, but wont be good enough to get out of the first round.

Brooks has talent, but his numbers last year were also inflated by being on a bad team.

1-his numbers last year? he barely played last year. his numbers in general have been about the same for 3 years.

2-with very few other options, he faced the best defenders and double teams a lot, because no one was that afraid of any other scoring options from the Nets.

My question is why even ask something like that? You're never getting Dwight.

Orlando in
Tristan Thompson (had a really good rookie season and many expect big things from him)
Tyler Zeller (some say he is the most NBA ready player out of this draft)
Cleveland's own 2013 pick
Cleveland 2013 pick (fromLAL)
cleveland 2013 2nd
cleveland 2015 1st
cleveland 2015 2nd

5 pick over the next 3 years and the center piece here is Thompson last year's #4 selection.

Zeller is more than likely a backup center at best.

so is that no? I thought it is a very good project. you are reported to be looking for draft picks/cap relief. you're getting 3 first round picks, and 5 picks overall along with Tristan Thompson who was the best rookie big last year along with tyler zeller.

Truth. This is beyond sad. Over 33 threads (including pre-speculation speculation threads) and we still have no clue what's going to happen.

Brook Lopez isn't a bad player.....he's actually a good young player....not great but good....but he's still young and is basically about to hit his prime years.....Bynum vs Lopez? Bynum wins but i would take the guy that wants to be here instead of just auditioning for the role of a 1st option on another team.....but if Bynum indeed wants to be here then that's a different story......

Sorry I want to play with the top1-2 players in the league and then after the playoffs, worst case, see him walk to Atl or Dal and we get a top 4 lotto on our own.

a few years ago, the nets fielded a starting lineup of

C - Brook Lopez
PF - Yi
SF - Chris Douglas-Roberts
SG - Courtney Lee
PG - Devin Harris

Well if we trade away Hedo and Jrich and the only actual player we get is Lopez, is our starting lineup any better than that?

C - Brook Lopez
PF - BBD (Only advantage i see)
SF - _______ (i dont even know who we start at SF if we trade hedo, maybe QRich?)
SG - JJ (JJ might be a little better)
PG - Nelson (devin harris is better)

That nets team went 12-70 :-?

interesting that in about 5 games, Lopez owns Bynum at 24 ppg to 7 ppg

IMO if we do get Brook maybe we can flip him to a center needy team for a couple of first
