Truth. This is beyond sad. Over 33 threads (including pre-speculation speculation threads) and we still have no clue what's going to happen.

So basically we've dedicated like 3400 pages to firing SVG and Otis; hiring Hennigan; resigning J-Rich; getting BBD for Bass; and the Ryno-Goose trade; drafting Nicholson andO'Quinn. Miss anything...

Well if we trade away Hedo and Jrich and the only actual player we get is Lopez, is our starting lineup any better than that?

C - Brook Lopez
PF - BBD (Only advantage i see)
SF - _______ (i dont even know who we start at SF if we trade hedo, maybe QRich?)
SG - JJ (JJ might be a little better)
PG - Nelson (devin harris is better)

That nets team went 12-70 :-?

i would think we would start either Harper or Qrich and i would go with Harper to see if hes got game and is worthy of staying. worse case we sign and trade him away

1-his numbers last year? he barely played last year. his numbers in general have been about the same for 3 years.

2-with very few other options, he faced the best defenders and double teams a lot, because no one was that afraid of any other scoring options from the Nets.
[/quote]

The Nets were soo bad that nobody cared to play hard against them. They had the worst record in the league one year with Lopez as there best player. If he was even borderline star, how does your team end up with the worst record in the league. That was the year they thought they were lock to get the first pick and take John Wall but ended up Favors.

interesting that in about 5 games, Lopez owns Bynum at 24 ppg to 7 ppg

oh i know about the numbers....i know Lopez smokes Bynum head to head but i was insinuating who most people would take out of the two.....

who said Lopez was a star? anyone? i havent heard anyone call him a star? i call him a good, offensive center at 24.

What about John Wall? is he a star? how did washington do so bad? I guess Demarcus Cousins is horrible too. His team was bad too. Kevin Love's team only won 26 games, he must be a horrible player. How bad must Kyrie Irving be to lead Cleveland to only 21 wins.......

What a sad commentary on the state of big men in today's NBA...

He doesnt want to play for u. He has said many times he wants to stay with the Nets.

Out of curiosity, why are you even hitting this board? Just trolololollling?

I watched alot of Lopez living in the tristate area. Dont let the numbers fool you, his ppg numbers were inflated by being on some very bad teams. He has good midrange game and is athletic enough to finish on fast breaks but doesnt even have decent post game . He is also a terrible rebounder for a 7 footer and is also soft on defense. He will put you in mediocrity for the next 5+ years where you wont be bad enough to get a franchise player, but wont be good enough to get out of the first round.

Brooks has talent, but his numbers last year were also inflated by being on a bad team.

You're a liar and have never watched Lopez play if you think he has a decent mid range game. His points came entirely from low post scoring. He has no mid range game.

Watch this clip of him. His entire game is based off the post

Man, if you want to tank, you have to commit. Nothing says commitment more than fielding that lineup.

While the New Jersey deal is trash, I don't understand why everyone is wanting to ship out Humphries if that is the route that we take. I understand that We have our rookie, and Davis that will play some time at the 4, but Humphries is a guy that will help cover up for the biggest weakness in Lopez's game. I would rather keep Humphries than literally give him away for nothing, which is, from my understanding, the actual deal that is being discussed.

You're gain showing your ignorance of Lopez and have never seen him play.

The 2010 Nets were lead by Devin Harris. Lopez was in his second year in the NBA and still learning the game. You really put blame on him for not winning with a joke of a team his second year?

And worst of all, if we do take that bad and get the #1 pick (stern will reward us), we likely wouldnt even be able to draft Noel, zeller, issac or that big french C because we are already paying Lopez max money!

if a draft has a great center, really really good one, you draft him and figure it out later.

we can always somehow find a team that could use a Center. Maybe we can ship him to the rockets if the bulls match that offer 8-)

Good luck selling that to the fans. "

"Hey we know we traded dwight howard for this guy, but we are trading him away this year for some draft picks...."

Also, as a GM, would Henny agree to give up on lopez that quickly?

Tim Duncan/David Robinson
Eddy Curry/Tyson Chandler
Detroit just did it by drafting Drumonds

If we do have to take Lopez and we get lucky enough to draft Noel, twin towers is fine by me! Stretch 4 left with Ryno!
