well, if rockets don't get him, they're gonna rebuild anyway so why should they get out now...until D12 is actually gone from Magic, they're gonna keep plugging away.

Rebuild with what?

Getting Dwight with your team will make you a second round exit at best and then you have to rebuild without all the picks and young players you acquired this whole time.

That sounds awful.

Well first off I was kidding. Second, you do realize how that makes no sense? Giving up assets and the lottery pick you just acquired for 5 months of Howard? Sorry I don't think Houston is willing to give up as much as everyone believes, and I don't think Houston is in it as deep as LA and BK are.

You think after they get Howard, they would just sit around? Morey is gonna keep plugging away for Smith.

IMHO is Howard isn't signing an extension now with LA with all their talent, that's a very bad sign for him resigning.

He'll look like the idiot in the end because he will have no where (competitive) to go but DAL, and even then they're on the slopes in terms of their future.

To me, if I'm the Lakers I interpret those comments from Bynum as a very good possibility that he won't resign with the Lakers in the off-season either. If I'm the Lakers, those comments make me more motivated to move Bynum, since they'd be in the same boat with Howard. If you're taking a one-year rental, it might as well be with the better player. Bynum want's to be the number one option and wants to get paid. He can do that in Orlando. I honestly don't know what Howard wants, but I"d be more apt now to gamble on the chances that over the course of a season he will be convinced to re-sign.

If nothing happens, Bynum might walk out on the Lakers as it is. My guess is the Lakers make the Howard trade happen.

Folks, bynums situation is totally different. We have history. He has won championships here. We have paid and given him top dollar amounts. We dropped the big DIME on him just a coupla months ago or so. We have treated him right, with respect, and PAID HIM BIG. We have groomed him and been patient with his antics, and his treatment has been above and beyond fair every step of the way . . . . WHO DO some of you folks think we are, this ORGANIZATION is top notch. LAKERtown

Orlando on the other hand with dwight . . . totally different story

I think Rockets would be open to it, but they most likely won't give up as much as they would for Howard...Orlando might try to pry more picks/players that Rockets might not want to give...just hard to say...

What I find funny about all the Dwight Howard rumors are the people that tweet it. Who the hell are these people?
