At least Otis was getting a 2012 lottery pick as well.

Good point. If the offer is bad this should be on devos . Smith tried to trade him 3 times before ownership stepped in every time

I don't think the Magic fanbase did enough publicly to express their displeasure for the possibility of trading Dwight to the Nets. How could such a new GM make a move that would piss off 99% of fans for the next 5 years (maybe more depending on Dwight's abilities and "loyalty" to BK)...

Shaq, LeBron... those guys left. They controlled their destiny. What henny would be doing is directly contributing to the formation of another Miami in the same conference as his own team. Seems like the worst possible trade you could make.

Dont know if it was posted but around 11:48pm:

"The Magic, Nets and Cavaliers are near completion on a trade centered around Dwight Howard, according to sources that spoke with RealGM's Jarrod Rudolph.

The currently proposed deal will include 11 players, cash and multiple draft picks.

Orlando plans to talk to other teams before signing off on the trade of Howard to Brooklyn, according to sources.

Cleveland will help facilitate the trade by taking Kris Humphries in a sign-and-trade while receiving additional compensation.

The Magic will receive Brook Lopez via sign-and-trade, along with multiple first round picks."

11 players :o

The repercussions of these deal **** us in so many ways, it's just too much.

Agreed. I can't really believe this is the deal. Cleveland doesn't seem willing to take anything back without getting some picks or cash, which is understandable, so where does the value come from? Lopez can only get us 7.75 million worth of salary because of the BYC, then you could swap Gaines on a 1-yr 5 mil deal for J-Rich (good move), then 3 other scrubs on Brooklyn swap for Duhon. Where does the money for Dwight come from? Will they renege on G. Wallace and send him to us or another team?

I must be missing something.

What lottery pick? Dwight would have led the nets to the playoffs.

remember people don't just blame Henny if this goes south....he doesn't make any decision that Alex and the Devos family doesn't approve first......so if anything blame the entire organization.......

From a berger article:

This is the same place where the Nets got stuck in talks that would've landed them Carmelo Anthony at the 2011 trade deadline. Cleveland was involved as the third team in those negotiations and insisted on two first-round picks for absorbing Troy Murphy into their trade exception, effectively killing the deal and paving the way for Anthony to be traded to the Knicks. New York solved the dilemma by finding another team, Minnesota, to take Eddy Curry's contract, with the incentive being that the Timberwolves got Anthony Randolph in the exchange.

Preparing for all contingencies, the Nets also have explored the possibility of signing and trading Brook Lopez to a third team in exchange for draft picks that would "sweeten the pot" for Orlando, league sources told CBSSports.com. But people involved in the Howard trade talks believe that, if a deal is there to be made between the Nets and Magic, the most likely scenario remains Lopez going to Orlando.

I am late on this news. Does anyone know if MarShon Brooks is included in a potential Brook Lopez to Orlando deal? I've been out all day, I'd really appreciate if someone could please fill me (and others coming in late) of the latest development/rumors. Thanks in advance.

Ha, is that really his email address? If so, I'm sure he has a secretary to manage it, but everyone should still spam the crap out of it with "Say No to the Nets."

I would not be mad if a new thread was created to rally magic fans together in an effort to spam both email addresses with a "Say No to Nets" message.

I emailed him. Still posing this question to anyone who can answer:

How the heck are we going to unload expiring when we get Lopez as a BYC and maybe Brooks at 1.2 mil a year? That's not even enough to trade Dwight.

Did you guys think we were going to get LeBron and Wade or something? Oh, Bynum... woohoo. Like that wouldn't suck as well. And what else were the Lakers going to give up? News flash - trading Dwight Howard was always going to suck. Especially when he said he will only re-sign with one team. Henny will do what is best for this organisation. I trust his and his newly built teams judgement.

For those of you who follow this YBR guy from TBN is there anything posted on there? I never go to TBN so I would have no idea where to look for him on there
