Nets GM Billy King is flying to Vegas Monday morning to watch Deron Williams w/ Team USA. No Dwight Howard deal imminent, still work to do.

In other words, the saga drags on. I still don't think there will be any trade in the near future.

Anytime a Nets fan says anything positive about Lopez we get called homers.
Please tell me what Bynum does besides rebounding better than Lopez? His scoring is worse. His BPG are around the same. His ability to get to the FT line and FT% are worse. His health is a lot better overall.

The main difference is rebounding. If Lopez could ever be an 11 RPG guy (I'm not saying he is) he would probably be better than Bynum.

Don't need him extended? Great. Now all they need to do is get something the Orlando's really want...and they can rent him.

Great rebuttal.

You didn't really give the best opening argument either; extremely vague. What's close? Bynum's a better shot blocker, is more efficient, a better defender and demands more attention from the opposing team. Brook doesn't turn the ball over as much (nor does he create much offense or draw that much defensive attention, so it isn't a huge advantage) and he gets to the line more and shoots a better % (despite this, he still has a lower overall TS%). Bynum is definitively a better player.

I hope magic takes the Houston deal not only because it makes the most sense, but also because Nets and Lakers fans can stop bickering.

Lopez plays no D and doesn't rebound, so his impact on games are minimal at best. I'm not gonna sit here and overrate Drew because it's a lot he doesn't do for my liking but I'd be pissed if I had to settle for Lopez as our center.

Bynum is about to expire and leave...which is why the Lakers are not getting any interest from Orlando. They don't have what Orlando actually WANTS. Then again...does Orlando know what they want?

Just because two players have similar "scoring," some of you fail to recognize that Bynum has the ability to get deeper positioning than Lopez and has the more reliable/efficient post game. Defensively, is more of a force down low with better man to man defense and help defense. Not sure if Lopez would ever be capable of getting 10 blocks in a playoff game. Injuries is a wash, didn't Lopez just come off multiple injures this year? Bynum went through a full season and only missed games due to suspensions.
