A player being a "cancer" is used way too frequently and seemingly because people don't understand what relating something to cancer means. Rondo is a problem child, yea, but a team can survive with him, not a cancer.

I didn't even watch the clip but ...seriously do we have problems trying to label a guy a cancer because he got mad one time? Good thing none of us are mad about that. Cancerous bunch we are.

i think rivers' latest statement that he's disappointed that allen chose miami is an attempt to ameliorate the growing ill - sentiment surrounding rondo, because i don't think there's any way rivers COULD NOT foresee the move. however what he couldn't foresee was the fallout about rondo.

I do remember him being considered a cancer but can't recall any examples or why this was the case. Did he just have a generally bad attitude?

Rondo wants to impose himself, which usually is a good thing... he's got fire and heart that is lacking with several players due to the hip-hop element making players soft and care less abotu the game. Not saying it's most players, but there are several of an iffy ilk today and of recent.

I could have sworn Mr. Mashburn was involved somehow too.

Since when does the "hip hop element" make guys soft and careless, shaq AI, s jax and artest are all part of that culture, none of those guys are soft

He's arrogant and very unlikeable...but so what?
He's loved in Boston.
