Anderson is a Hornet. 4 yrs 36 million. The Maloofs wouldn't have offered him half that. Just wait until Evans contract is up.

It's true that the arrival of Thomas Robinson makes JT a little easier to let go, but I think he's being seriously undervalued here. He has things that can't be taught, and he produces tangible results at a respectable rate. The reason he hasn't secured a starting position in Sac is because they haven't really respected him in that regard. He could start elsewhere, but the Sacramento Kings keep him on the bench. That can actually be a huge asset to have a player like him accepting a bench role for the good of the team.

Well we won't have to worry about that T-Rob making it easier for us to let JT go because he just re-signed at 6 million a year. As iv said in other threads, JT is the all around guy on both ends that you need for stretches. Give me JT at the PF spot over Ryan Anderson any day of the week.

Jason Jones ‏@mr_jasonjones

Jason Thompson's new deal will average about $6 mill per season

That's great.

So between 24 to 25 million in 4 years - that's a solid deal.

It's a fair deal. This will put less pressure on Robinson. We are now at our max cap, so I don't see any other moves.

Ditto........

And this makes the Kings frontcourt if not the best but one of the best rebounding FCs in the league. I see them having JT for possibly 2-3yrs and then moving him since he would be a bargain at that point. This would make it easier to reup Cousins and T-Rob.

Return to Sacramento Kings
