Young to the 76ers
Sounds like Nick Young is going to the 76ers now that we signed Crawford. Also, to free up the money for Young and Hawes they are amnestying Elton Brand. Now that we have LO, any interest in resigning the traitor? I know that things have worked out better since he left, but as you can tell, I am still bitter!

Re: Young to the 76ers
Brand would have been a good backup C/PF if Odom wasn't around and if the Clippers were actually under the cap. I've gotten over it, but what better way to get back at him than to get cheap labour?

Re: Young to the 76ers
I'd take Brand back in a second. It would be alot different if we still sucked, but him stabbing us in the back was really the first domino in what is now a pretty damn good team!
I'm disappointed about Young. Disappointed in him. He seemed to fit. I thought he would take slightly less to stay here and he ended up getting only 1 year and about a million and a half more. I guess that is a lot of money but it really is a stupid deal. He would have been smart to sign a 2 year deal so we could get his Bird Rights and give him a big raise in year 3. Even if he re-signed with us we would have Early Bird Rights and could have given him a big raise. I think he made a mistake leaving us for a 1 year deal at $1.5 million more. I think we would have given him atleast 3 years and I really think that would have been the better move.
He seems like the type of player that needs to get comfortable to play well. That is going to be hard signing 1 year contracts.

Sixers fan here. I'm fairly familiar with Nick's game from when he was in the Eastern Conference. How was his defense while he was with you?

About the same as always. Did a good job when he was on the ball and being isolated, using his length and ability to move. Off the ball, he wasn't always active, doesn't hit the glass as he leaks out to spot up for three's (which helped th Clippers come back). Might not be the most aggressive fighting around screens or chasing guys around screens.

Young didn't really care about that.
Options:
Mickael Pietrus (wants to stay in Boston)
Josh Howard (if Utah isn't bringing him back)
Matt Barnes (since interest doesn't seem high, he could be cheap)
Marquis Daniels
Dominic McGuire (made $4M last season, so would have to take a cut)
....some others
Return to Los Angeles Clippers
