Marcus Camby could be on his way to New York

Post#1 » by miggysworld35 » Mon Jul 9, 2012 11:12 pm

@Jonathan_Feigen: A deal for Camby is possible, maybe even probable "in next 24 hours." Rockets would get back pieces, but won't be for all 4 Knicks offered.

I wonder what the knicks would give us in return. Maybge toney Douglas? Don't think they have any picks to offer.

The Rockets will get the Knicks' second round picks in 2014 and 2015, source tells Y! The Knicks will pay Toney Douglas' salary in Houston.

Hey guys Knick fan here. Not trolling, just wanted to thank you guys for trading us Camby. He wasn't of much use for you guys at this stage and I think you got some decent compensation considering Camby's age etc.

We knick fans still love Camby and hope he can keep up his level of play for another 2 years.

Good luck

Nice of the Knicks to pay Douglas's salary.

good trade for both sides. we get a decent backup pg, 2 bigs with size and 2 future 2nd rd picks. thats good filler imo. all 3 players expiring, knicks paying toney's salary too

Yup. I'm guessing he's our starting PG this season (whom we are not actually paying).

Yeah, nice trade for both teams. We get something for someone that wasn't in our current or future plans.

Jorts is the only one of value out of the 3 of them. Toney D could be decent, but he has been fighting injuries and his shot is just broken. Jordan is tall lol.

But yea Jorts can be completely clueless on defense at times. Falls in love with the three if he hits more than 1 in a game. Wow you guys have a ton of pfs, really interested in seeing what happens to all of those guys.

If Toney's your starting PG, you're team's going to suck. Nothing against Toney, cause he shoots OK, he hustles and he plays D, but he's an absolute crap PG. Toney was a pretty good player his first 2 years. Last year, I think it was a combination of injuries and family issues, he wasn't the same. If you get 2010-2011 Toney, you'll be happy, but he's still not a PG.

Jorts is fun. I wish the Knicks hadn't given him up.

Jerome Jordan's tall, and he could still develop a game, but he's not really there yet.
Go Knicks!! Go Mets!!

As for the Jets . . . just keep it entertaining.

The "Douglas is the starter" is kind of a joke because A) he's a "free" player; and B) he's one of 3 or 4 guys on the current roster under 6'8"

Thanks for your insight on the incoming guys. I think that Camby is a great fit for your current team.

Don't we have to many players on the team now? Don't we need to clear roster spots so we can have asik and lin sign the offer sheets?
