LOL NO, the KNICKS are the ones that gave the picks. WOW...they over-paid big time.

Marcus Camby has reached agreement on a deal with the Knicks, league sources tell Y! Sports. Houston and New York agreed on a sign-and-trade deal sending Douglas, Harrelson, Jordan to Rockets for picks, sources said.

So NY trades their trash to Houston for Camby + pickS ???? how is this even possible ...

He mis-spoke Houston is getting the picks. And again, the reason Houston is doing this is because the players they are getting are on un-guaranteed contracts and the Knicks are playing for the rest of Douglas' so they get cap space out of it eventually and they apparently at still going after Howard.

Heatles take paycuts

Camby was willing to take a paycut (the mini-mle)

None of the Heatles take the minimum. Miller, Joel, Allen, Battier and Haslem all go elsewhere if all we offered was the minimum.

Its annoying that some people try to make it seem like Camby has some kind of character flaw for not taking the minimum and our guys are just so much more committed. Camby would have signed the same contract as any of those five and I don't think you can make the argument that all five of them are better than him, especially since he plays center.

Second round picks have almost no value.

You must be really high on Jerome Jordan, Josh Harrelson and/or Toney Douglass

I really think Bell is someone that might be looked at more if the Nets somehow pull off that Dwight deal. He's someone that can match up defensively on D-Will or Joe Johnson as opposed to Allen who isn't as reliable defensively. Allen no doubt is x10 more valuable offensively but at least Raja can be a formidable spot up shooter if he were to work in the rotation.

While it's not a 100% reliable stat he opponent counterpart put up 13.4 PER against him last season. For comparison Wade held opposing SGs to 11.6 PER, Allen 11.3 PER (a lot of this can also do with the defensive system they run). So Bell being a smart veteran, especially on the defensive end, can work out to Miami's advantage as a guy off the bench for spot minutes, nothing major. Riley is definitely more keen to getting veterans on the team than having to rely on younger guys which is why a lot of people that had been covering the Heat were surprised to see Cole get the amount of run he did in the playoffs.

Which was my point.

Camby was willing to take a paycut just like any of the Heatles (mini-mle).

He was just unwilling to take the minimum which none of those guys did either.

He's just like all of them.

A 38yr old who lead the league in rebounding last year. Its a two year deal (third year is unguaranteed)

We just signed a 36 yr old who is turning 37 in 11 days (July 20th) to a three year deal

Raja Bell....WTF -_-. This dude is not going to defend Centers. The heat already have to many guards. Time to bulk the front line up.

There aren't many options available, if any right now. Probably will end up with Turiaf again.
