Your best player is old man KG who can't play much longer than 5 mins a time.
PP is finished. A few years ago he played Bron pretty well now he's Lebron's bitch. Rondo is a hormonal woman (excuse any sexism please). Perhaps you should argue how JO was injured otherwise you'd have won.
two years should've, would've , could've - DIDN'T. The future is only going to get worse. Get rid of your once great players and get some draft picks.
No I don't argue JO since I'm not making foolish comments like you. Celtic fans realize he was a marginal player/scrub even when healthy. Next years Celtics team will have about 3 rotation players in common with 2011's team. Why not bring up 2010? It almost makes as much sense.
The intermediate to long term future of the Celtics is getting worse but Ainge has been good at adding some young players with talent. I'm grown up enough to admit that since KG is an underrated all time great player and HOF bigs are at a premium but the Celtics starting backcourt is now young and very talented. The short term future looks very bright. Avery Bradley is not a flash in the pan. When he got injured, Celtics fan wrote off the season since we all know how important he was to the team and how little RA had left in the tank. He was ranked #1, #4 and #5 as a high school senior by 3 different scouting services. And KG ages slowly since he is 7ft tall and has a great jump shot.
PP made the all-star team and was player of the month before he got injured. Sure even if healthy he isn't as good as he once was and Lebron can usually shut him down but he is hardly finished since he not only has shooting ability but strength as well. And if Lebron has to guard a healthy Pierce, he can't help out elsewhere. If PP is finished, Ray Allen should be playing in the seniors league. And it's not like Miami's bench is young.
BTW Dallas was a fairly old team as well with Dirk, Terry, Marion and Kidd so you should not be overconfident against old teams. Frankly they were older then next years Celtics. They managed to beat the heat in 6 games. And Jason Terry was a major reason why.
Whether its to Boston, New Jersey, OKC, or LA, I believe chances are Miami won't be winning the title next year. And I'm realistic enough to realize chances are the Celtics don't win it either. The Nets with Wallace on Lebron and Dwight Howard providing the second line of defense, realistically may be the team to beat in the East.
I do believe the Lebron led Heat should win won more title if they stay healthy and frankly add better reinforcements but that is probably it unless they fleece a team on Wade trade or Wade really develops a very reliable 3 point shot to offset his decline in athleticism.
