If we're going to piss away roster spots like that, grab Krylylo Fesenko.

Anyone here think that we could lose Lewis for the Knicks?
Knicks dont have any backup pf and they can offer him a bigger role than us.

Um didn't we attempt him last season and failed? What makes you think we would go after him AGAIN?

Dexter Pittman is 6'9.5 without shoes and 6'11.5 with shoes, has a 7'6 wingspan, huge hands and a 9'3 standing reach, without a doubt he has Demarcus Cousins size to play center he just doesn't have the mobility like Cousins or the natural offensive game, my point is with the recent weight loss and overall change in his body the physical tools are in play, he just needs to have the awareness and confidence in his game in order to put it all together on the court.

knicks will have
kidd
camby
novak
smith
coming off the bench, i don't see them offering a role to him that's much bigger than miami.

Jordan Schultz
@206Child 13m
Source confirms that Rashard
Lewis talks with the #Heat
continue to go well; I think we
officially on Wednesday, but Miami
is frontrunner.

this guy is either lucky or has a good source since he has been right about allen and camby

He said Lewis chances of going to Miami is 90%, and Knicks aren't in the picture right now.

He is a 7'1, 25 year old who can actually step on the court if we ever need him, unlike Greg Oden and Eddy Curry.

Hard to do that when Bynum goes up for hook shot and doesn't even see Pitt because he's so short.

This. There's no way he's 6'11. Dude's 6'9 on a tall day and even he knows it.

No, he's at least 6'10 which is decent sized. Perkins is 6'10(supposedly, he looks shorter) for reference and completely shut Bynum down.

Greg Oden and Ian Mahinmi.

The idea that there is "nothing to lose" is somewhat flawed I think when it comes to Oden. Signing him is pissing away time, effort, money and, more importantly, a roster spot with the defending champs for a guy that will almost certainly break-down and injure himself at some point(s). I'd sign someone, anyone, else.

(That said, I'd love to see it work out for the guy. However, I very much doubt it will happen)

Yeah there's even higher upside with Oden than Curry. You don't forget rebounding and shotblocking. Dude needs to aggressively Kobe his knees.

Anyways I expect the remaining roster spots to be filled by summer league/training camp invitees. Seems like we always find 2 or 3 of those guys who can make the roster.

I think Harris will be back, Varnado, and then some guy we've never heard of. I think Lewis if we get him will our last big free agent signing.

Some guys are just talking stright out of your asses really. Pittman is undersized?! are you crazy? he's bigger then Dwight, Noah, Porkins, he's got the some of the biggest hands ever measured.
The thing that held him back was his weight and as a result his mobility, not his size. do you even watch Heat games? SMH.

Anyway Oden said he's taking the 2012-2013 season off, so no sense in sighing him now. Next year - why not.

I think Pat will wait and see what our guys have in them in Summer league before he adds another Vet min Center. Turiaf and Kenyon Martion are best options left, Kyrylo Fesenko is trash.
