Take your best Houston scenarios and boil them down to about 1/4 of their size and reassess. That's more likely where Houston is at if they are even in this discussion for Dwight still. Otherwise, it'd be done by now.

The latest team linked to the multi-team Dwight Howard trade? The Timberwolves. They may get involved in the talks, according to sources.
Pekovic + Love for D12
I wish! Minny is not trading Love to rent Howard. Dwight 100% walks to Dallas if traded to Minny. TWolves could get a ton (players and picks that will for sure stay) for Love

I doubt they trade both Love and Pekovic. Something like this might work,
If we could get Love, W Johnson, Darko, Ridnour and a 1st rd pick for Dwight, J Rich and Q Rich, I'd take that.
Nelson/Ridnour/Wayns
Redick/Liggins/Sutton
Johnson/Hedo/Earl
BBD/Nicholson/Harper
Love/Darko/O'Quinn

Are we able to do a trade with POR for Batum using Lopez and perhaps Turk (I recall POR having interest in him when he was a FA).
Portland is now assuming Hibbert is gone, rightfully so, and is planning on starting Meyers Leonard at center next year, semi-tanking, and then reassessing at the trade deadline. Their GM just had a PC and said they have no interest in any other center on the market.

Andrew Melnick @HowardtheDunk
I've also heard about one team making a hard push for Howard Monday night from two different sources.
Andrew Melnick @HowardtheDunk
It's not really new news or anything. Woj mentioned them earlier. Just heard it from my own guys now.
Andrew Melnick @HowardtheDunk
Houston is the team. Woj mentioned them earlier, too. Collected more assets in the Knicks trade today.

It wouldn't be done if our front office thought they could squeeze more out of the deal.

Seriously. When has an Orlando trade appeared better than we'd imagined at first glance? It's usually a lot worse than expected. Houston must be offering us garbage right now if Henny isn't biting.

Or he's looking to play teams against each other to squeeze a little more out of the deal. We've never had this style of GM before.

Trading Dwight has turned into a monopoly trading session for boardwalk or park place.

You say Lopez would be easy to move on a max deal? Then why are the Lakers having so much trouble moving the far superior Pau Gasol?
Skilled 7 footer who can actually rebound, and is better in every phase of the game vs Lopez. Lakers can't find a taker.
Yeah, no one is taking Lopez from us. He's not an asset on a max deal.

Yeah, the site is working on my iPod. But when I try to go on with my laptop, it won't work. Just weird.

TWolves getting involved makes some sense. They have/had the Brad Miller non-guaranteed contract, Darko's expiring and a need at SG. They could be the taker for JRich.

Are you kidding me?? Half the league wants Gasol. If LA put Gasol in the package with Bynum, Dwight would be a Laker right now! Houston wanted him, Minny wanted him. Memphis wanted him......LA is not trying to move Gasol. They only tried to trade him in a deal that woulda got them CP3!

Then with the 2 2013(1 from Minny) 1st rd picks, draft PG Ian Miller and SF CJ Leslie. Future starting lineup of,
Miller
Liggins
Leslie
Nicholson
Love

Not only would have the league take him, they'd not think twice about his 15% trade kicker either. I guess it is assumed that Lopez is getting the max, even though he's never been to an AS game and has a foot injury and is priced the same as Hibbert. Even if he did, so long as he wasn't injured, his age and size would make him moveable. Now, I'm not saying we're getting Dwayne Wade back for the guy, he's moveable.
