The Clippers have emerged as the fourth team involved in Dwight Howard trade negotiations with the Magic, Nets and Cavaliers.

Los Angeles would provide an additional first round pick in exchange for MarShon Brooks.

The Bobcats, Jazz and Wolves also could be in play for Brooks, reports Ken Berger.

He's not God's gift, but for a late pick in the first round of a draft that was considered a crapshoot, he's more than outproduced his draft position and will likely have a long career as a respectable scorer in the league. Maybe like Jamal Crawford.

There was a tweet from Woj or Stein or someone saying that there were a few teams that might have interest and better pics to offer instead of the Clippers. We were one team mentioned.

Do not want.

I would use a 1st rd pick to get Brooks, but that would mean no C. Lee.

Well with Lee you know your getting a 10ppg guy(around that), but with Brooks, he is already a better scorer and is only in his second year.

His shooting numbers are poor, he's very streaky, and his defense is very poor.
FG % .428
3's% .313
FT% .764

He's a scorer, but that's it. Plays like a shorter Beasley IMO.

Brooks is a ball stopper. Would not work well in this offense. Hopefully Shved or Lee will get picked up.

Brooks, like Jordan Crawford or Nick Young are players I absolutely don't want on my team.

Beasley is probably a better team player than these guys.

Fine idea if we were able to forward him to Portland in a Batum deal ...

Memphis 2013 for Brooks
Brooks/Ridnour/filler to Portland

12 Man Roster
Rube/JJB
Schved/Roy/Lee
Batum/DW/Budinger
Love/DW/Tolliver
Pek/Steimsma or Hill

5 guards that can handle the ball ... all have PG experience (as does Batum). DW could have a grand opportunity to be the 6th-man of the year. Not sure we'd have a legit starting SG here due to some uncertainties, but clearly a position upgrade if Roy can go 15-20 minutes a night.

In 2 years Brooks will be better than Courtney Lee ever dreamed of being. That doesn't really mean anything special though as Lee is just a meh player.

Or he'll be on his third team like Beasley.

This makes sense.
