^^ Because they can outright sign him this offseason, they're not gonna gut their team... He'd simply leave for a better situation (Dallas + CP3)

AND ATL is looking to pair him with CP3, taking Hedo + Brick destroys that.

Imagine Otis offering a 50M per year contract to Lewis...

You're out of your mind (or just angry) if you don't think the Nets will contend. Get past Miami? I'm not sure. But they will be an elite team.

BTW I know this is a few days old but I still found it interesting: "@JJRedick: Saw that Rashard Lewis got bought out. Hope he catches on with a contender. Best teammate and pro I've ever been around."

You need 12 players minimum, so you can continue to think small if you want. Neither of those dudes have proved anything except Howard and Wallace. Johnson is a 6 time all star but come on, the guy is not a player that has "KILLER INSTINCT" and neither is HOWARD. The only player on that team that'd have the KILLER INSTINCT is D WILL. Miami has several guys with the killer instinct mentality. So Does OKC. The Spurs have more guys with the mentality for crying out loud.

NOT only that, I didn't say they would contend, but thats not a championship team. Without a bench and some good gelling amongst the 4 scorers they would have, they will not be winning a championship.

"KILLER INSTINCT"? Thats so subjective man, sounds like something Skip Bayless would put out. Look, if you combine 4 players that have never won a championship and are all in their prime of after with numbers like 21ppg/19ppg/19ppg/15ppg on the same team. Throw in the leading scorer in Europe, that group is going to have the mentality to win a championship right off the bat because they know they are championship material.

Well GM'S and their decisions would become super important...but it would prevent super teams and keep the league so much more competitive.

I'd also say that Ray Allen and Pierce weren't guys I would have considered to have a "Killer Instinct" before they came together in Boston, and they did just fine.

I still think he's going to Nets. I have no reason to believe Orlando GM's will ever make a smart move.

It's subjective, yet you make a subjective statement?...

Yes Killer Instinct. In the last decade, take a look at all of the finals.
Esp the one where L.A. and Orlando. Kobe had that killer instict to not let Orlando get a chance to even have hope.
Last Year, Dirk and the Mavs (while having a good team) had that "I WANT THE CHAMPIONSHIP NOW. or "WE NEED TO END THIS GAME BEFORE IT STARTS"

Dwight , Gerald, or Joe Johnson does not have that, and the last 4 or 5 years in the playoffs have proven that. Could they get it? Sure! Of course, but to say they are automatically champions is gully at best. Contend? Be Very Good? Top 3 team? Yes. But to beat up on teams who have been together longer, gelled longer, have better benches, and proven one or two things? No.

Rubio could be an All Star paired with Dwight, he could easily avg 15/12 playing with Dwight. They would just need to upgrade at the SG and SF positions. I'm sure they could attract a star wing player to come play with D12 and Rubio. Also Adelman is a very good coach, Dwight should be able to get along with him.

The Orlando Magic have re-opened negotiations with teams other than the Brooklyn Nets for Dwight Howard, a league source told ESPN The Magazine's Ric Bucher.

That team would instantly be considered title contenders.

Soo the Big Four makes them automatically championship material? Lol? Don't get me wrong Orlando's roster needs some work, but I don't see the hype in Brooklyn's Roster with the addition of Dwight Howard.

Yes, they would be championship material. Because I witnessed Dwight alone carry Vince Carter and Hedo Turkoglu to the ECF back to back years.... Joe Johnson alone would be the best teammate he's ever had, let alone Deron friggin' Williams.

And our roster needs just "some work"? LOL.

Rashard, Hedo, and Rafer all say 'hi'.

Well looks like all the leaks over an "imminent" Nets trade made others up their offers. Give Henny and his team some time guys, seems they are really trying to get the best return possible.

Humphries' agent, Dan Fegan, is still trying to convince Humphries to settle for a deal that will be guaranteed for just one year. Fegan also represents Howard. The Bobcats have more salary-cap space than the Cavs and would not be opposed to a multiyear deal for Humphries, a source told Bucher.

That's rediculous, he is forcing KH to sign a short deal just to help his other client.

Pietrus was big in the playoffs during the finals run too

that finals team was deep..too bad we didn't have one more solid big man on the roster because the Lakers frontline was too much for Dwight

As of today, I'm happy with this. I keep sayiing I like Henny. He seems to be one of those GM's that will NOT be bullied.
