A possible replacement for Cleveland as a third team, the Bobcats, are "not in the mix," says a person familiar with Charlotte's plans.

When we gave him permission to talk to the nets, lakers and mavericks at the beginning of the season.

We never gave him permission. We gave his agent permission to seek out trade options with those teams. And to my knowledge Howard was never allowed to go visit them or talk with them.

I think it could be other issues besides that for the Lakers. There were rumors out there, that Richardson was tapping Nash wife @ Phoenix. Don't know if they are true.

I seriously doubt Howard ever plays for the Nets. To me the media is making it sound like the Magic WANT to do this trade, LOL! I seriously doubt that is the case. Lets add crappy contracts and low first rounds picks. That is surely a great rebuild recipe, well according to BSPN.

Yeah but JR Smith contract is a whole new story..they signed him to a two year contract with a player option for the second year...he will opt out and New York then will have his bird rights and can offer him a larger contract

It sucks that when we need to make a trade, all the things that need to happen don't. But if it's the Lakers, everyone is willing to bend over and take the worst side of the deal.

Then again, this is all Dwight's fault. If he hadn't signed this extension, we could have been done with him already. However, since he had a "change of heart" and signed it, we have to deal with this drama longer. I don't see Houston getting into the mix here, if they're willing to get Dwight as a temporary member then so be it. Let's take some of their young talent and move on. Houston traded Lowry, whom I thought would be awesome in Orlando with a young up tempo team, so that makes any deal they had less desirable than before.

I noticed this quote from Bucher:
- Bucher says "when Dwight goes to a team like the Lakers, as a big man, he looks at that situation and says 'I HAVE to win a championship' because if he doesn't, he will be the only Lakers big man that hasn't win a champ, and that pressure makes Dwight hesitant esp since Kobe only has 2-3 years left."

So...he doesn't want to go there because there wil be too much pressure to win?

I guess there's no pressure in Brooklyn, just endorsement dollars.

When did Dwight become such a pussy?

Rick Bucher is a clown.

He reported that Kobe will never play for the Lakers years ago.

This is probably contributing to the progress being so slow on a Lakers deal. They can't understand why Henny isn't bending over backwards to help them out.

That is just an excuse for Howard to get to New York so he can play with his butt buddy.

Bynum would make more money waiting a year to sign an extentsion. I don't know why the media/Rick Bucher doesn't bring this up.

If you were Bynum, wouldn't you wait too?

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic lol.

Either way he was 39th among SG's in PER and 55th in TS%.

I might wait, but I would verbally commit if I was willing to come here.

One reason not to wait is if he gets injured in that contract year, he could hurt his chances at the max deal.

Meanwhile CP3 is waiting and nobody is making a fuss about it. Any star would wait unless they're too worried about injury. If Bynum doesn't want to extend, he must be really confident that his knees will hold up next season.
