Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA
The Nets have been negotiating an extension with Brook Lopez and could ultimately complete the deal in the next 48 hours, sources say.

So this means if the Nets resign him without a sign and trade, he can't be traded?

Folks, for real(s): when you hear these three- and four-team trades are "imminent," take a breath. They're extremely hard to pull off...

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic lol.

Either way he was 39th among SG's in PER and 55th in TS%.

Yeah but he is not earning 10mil per and everybody saw that he wasn't exactly used to his strenght in Orlando...there will defitnitly be a team underachiving at the deadline with a need of 3point shooting who would equire him for expirings... maybe we need to add a second rounder..

If you were Bynum, wouldn't you wait too?

I might wait, but I would verbally commit if I was willing to come here.

One reason not to wait is if he gets injured in that contract year, he could hurt his chances at the max deal.

Bynum will get a max deal regardless, unless doctors deem him to never play again. Hell Lopez, who didn't even play last year, will get a 10 to 12 million a year deal, LOL! The NBA is full of idiots who pay on future endeavors, instead of current events.

AAAAHAHA HAHA HAHA.....I'm not being sarcastic. It's not a bad contract and hes still a decent player to a contending team. OMG not PERS again!!!

Soo the Big Four makes them automatically championship material? Lol? Don't get me wrong Orlando's roster needs some work, but I don't see the hype in Brooklyn's Roster with the addition of Dwight Howard.

D-Will + D12 instantly makes them title contenders in the East. Add a 6-time all-star in Joe Johnson and Gerald Wallace and that team is better than the Heat imo.

Let's play a game...

Who's better, Lebron or Dwight?
Lebron

Who's better, Deron or Wade?
Wade

Who's better, Bosh or Joe Johnson?
Bosh

So... uh... how exactly would the Nets be the favorites?
And it's all a moot point because the Nets deal will never happen.

If Rob truly wanted to tank, why would he have resign Jameer? Wouldn't the better option be to let him walk and play Duhon 35 mpg? *Insert Stewie barfing gif*

Yeah when some one brings up PER stats, I laugh every time. Anderson had a great PER this season. Didn't help him much in the playoffs.

As far as JRich goes, I'm surprised a vet team hasn't traded for him? He could help a number of teams coming off the bench in that 6th man role.

Wow!

I got a bunch of my posts quoted on Page 51,

I think this deal is falling apart which is great news.

The Magic can move J-Rich on their own. Q-Rich and Duhon are about $4.5 million combined after the Magic buyout Duhon next season. That is not that bad.

Moving contracts should be the last priority of any deal. The Nets includes three bad firsts and what would be a very bad contract for Brook Lopez.

Its the smartest thing not to because we get nothin in return from any of these deals bein thrown out so just let him go to a garbage team or be forced to stay with us and have the best chance to win

With the current package for Howard, he isn't going to the Nets. Don't worry Magic fans. We don't have Otis running the team any more. You have to remember Otis was ready to move Howard to the Nets for Wallace, Lopez, KH and 3 picks. Even that package is horrific IMO.

Wait, so if the Nets sign Brook Lopez...that kills their pursuit of D12 in the short-term. He won't be able to walk there unless he settles for the MLE or we help him get there.

I wouldn't be surprised if D12 tries to make nice with the Magic after that. The guy is so fickle.

I either want Bynum, or just keep Dwight. That's the only two options I see as worth it. The Nets trade is crap and will just delay the rebuilding. I think Dwight would stay in LA if he was traded there. Bynum may not stay in Orlando but theres a good chance he will. Either do that deal or make Dwight play in Orlando next season.
