The momentum continues to build that this deal will be killed.

Re: Official Speculation Thread (Pt. XXXV Off-Season Edition
I admit, I initially freaked out when I saw reports of the Nets and Magic discussing this Pu-Pu Platter of a deal.
But let's sit back for a moment. Do we really believe that Rob Hennigan, who comes from the San Antonio/OKC school of front office management is going to take Brook Lopez back on a max deal? Do we really think that he's going to make a deal with Brooklyn that hurts us long term with cap space, keeps us from doing a full rebuild because we will only be bad enough to pick between 7 and 12 every year, doesn't give us any young promising talent, and doesn't give us any good draft picks?
Do we really think Rob Hennigan is going to take one of the worst deals in NBA history, that doesn't benefit Orlando in any facet? There's not one redeeming quality in that deal for Orlando. It truly would be worse than holding on to him and letting him walk.
Do we really believe that a bunch of free agents are just going to hang out, and help the Nets out by signing one year deals to be sent to the Magic?
When you really think about this rumor....doesn't it really seem farfetched and ridiculous? The media has made is sound like a deal was imminent, but there's a lot of moving parts, a lot of things that have to happen, and a lot of people to convince for this thing to work.
I find the entire notion absurd. I'm not buying it for a second. It's just the media hoping, because they want to suck Brooklyn off.

Seen enough of #Magic F Kyle O'Quinn to know he's a 2nd round steal. Plays w/presence, personality. Natural finisher. 5:00 left, 1st Q, Gm 2

That is a very good question.
I might have a Magic or J.J. Redick one.

Understandable why #Nets fans want deal done yesterday. Said Sunday others would inevitably get back in & nothing was close. Source right.

We have seen Asik guarding Dwight. He is way taller than Dwight. Definitely a legit 7 footer or more.

So today was the supposed deadline from the nets right? Not looking like that is gonna happen.

Got caught up. Rudolph is funny. You know he reads the boards because he seems to tweet stuff in response to stuff being said here, not to mention the time he posted here. (Hey Jarrod!!!!) He doesn't realize how biased he seems when he is being argumentative and petty with people on his twitter. I don't care to hear him on this matter, but I know his tweets will still get posted. I will mute his a** when he comes on the summer league broadcast.
Woj is the new Bucher. Shams is the new Woj. Espn is the new TMZ. The NBA is the new WWE.
Boo.
Boo.

Nicholson and O' Quinn will both be in the 8 man rotation THIS year. Those guys were beasts who carried their underdog teams farther than anyone thought possible.
Sound like a familiar upcoming scenario?

O'Quinn might make the acquistion of Ayon pointless.

Re: Official Speculation Thread (Pt. XXXV Off-Season Edition
Totally speculating here...
But anyone else wondering if Cleveland got involved in the deal as a means to derail it at the last minute? Dan Gilbert has always stated how infuriated he is by the new "superteams" being created.
Get involved, get Nets fans and ESPN all lathered up, then roll over and tell them you have a headache.
