This might explain why we dumped Stan even though we planned to get rid of Howard as well. I love Stan, but he's not a good coach for developing raw rookies, he'll crush their confidence and play veterans to win now at the expense of their development.

Maybe this is what Martins sold the Devos' on all along, and firing Stan and hiring Henny was the first step in the long plan.

We'll tank... our guys will play with passion this season (Heart n Hustle-esque)

But we'll be able to rebuild through FA and the draft properly... it's what we have to do... I'll take the Lakers, Rockets, and Magic deal.

Judging by Rob's first draft with us, it wouldn't be bad to start from scratch with the draft. If we can gain 2 lottery picks (1 from sucking and 1 from the D12 trade) we can set a good foundation down like OKC did.

Exactly! ... I think Rob is going into full OKC/Memphis/Philly/Indiana type of rebuild... all through the draft, with a bit of FA signings to hold everything together... over time the team will get better through experience and chemistry.

Rob seems like a guy who understands that we have to spend wisely and plan/balance for the future with our cap in order to be competitive.

Shabazz + Noel
Add that to Nicholson and we're rolling.

Edit: If we get K-Mart's expiring, we should be able to package that and get a lottery pick as well. I'm pretty sold on the idea of doing what NOH did. Get 2 studs lotto picks to build around going forward.

I wouldn't ..
Jarrod N Rudolph ‏@JRudolphSports
I'll keep it real: I'd rather let D12 walk than be involved in a trade revolving around the league's 2 best bigs and walk away w/ neither.

What does it even mean that the Magic are going to "accommodate" Dwight anyway?

'Don't worry, we'll take on Brook Lopez and Kris Humphries and pay them massive amounts just so you can play in Brooklyn, Dwight.'

Does not add up or make sense.

 WHAT!?!?! ... No I want the picks, cap relief, and prospects. It helps with our rebuild process. We're not letting Dwight walk and while we're sitting with J-Rich, Hedo, and Duhon's contracts. What a joke tweet. So misinformed... wow...

I do have a bad taste in my mouth from the thought of not getting Bynum either.

But if Bynum doesn't want to extend, I can see where Rob is coming from.

we will be on a treadmill with bynum. turk and jrich would remain starters

Chad Evans ‏@ChadEvansNBA

Jarrod Rudolph is an idiot. NEVER trust a player's "people". Legitimate sources are all that counts.

The ‪#Nets‬ deal is dead. Doesn't mean they won't continue to TRY. But the original deal is dead. ‪#Rockets‬ ‪#Lakers‬ in lead

Uh-oh......

NJV ‏@ChiefofVFamily

@HOOPSWORLD @PeterVecsey1 Hmmm ... I guess it will be Brook Lyn Lopez! Not a bad consolation prize!

I'm a little worried Rob drafted too well THIS year. Add the two new guys to BBD, Jameer, JJ, etc... and I think this "tank" squad will be a hell of a lot better than people think.

give hennigan some good draft picks and capspace and let him work

I agree, keep Jameer and JJ around for vet leadership. And build a solid young nucleus. I really don't like Bynum. He looks like one of those guys who will never change or get it.

prospects can rise and fall. If we can get a Good Wing and a Big(i really like wat ive seen from both of our Rookie Bigs especially O'quinn) that i would actually feel somewhat confident in going with a PG but only if hes truely the Best Player availble.

Next years Starting Lineup
PG: Nelson
SG: Lamb
SF: Harper
PF: Motiejunas
C: BBD

Nicholson and Quinn will be the top Backups along with JJ. We need to make sure we get a good backup PG

@MTB

I just finished creating 36, so don't worry about it. I'm just playing the waiting game for it to go live!

But you'd love to take Brook Lopez on a max deal while getting no cap relief or high lottery picks? What a freaking idiot.

In fairness, we don't know what Houston is offering and what they're taking back. I would much rather have Bynum then say Lamb, Parsons, jones while only unloading JRich.

I think you have to get Jeremy Lamb in any deal with Houston.
