Grant Hill interested in Miami?

Post#1 » by FinNasty » Wed Jul 11, 2012 1:04 am

Surprised this wasnt posted yet. Is there a reason no one is talking about it that I don't know about?

Agreed about playing time. I don't know where the minutes would come from...

No need for Grant Hill. Either we're gonna add a big man (if we can find one) or we're done adding players this offseason.

I think Heat are done unless a S&T for a big man would occur. But that should be about it.

Hill is gonna go to the Lakers to join up with his buddy Nash.

Plus he would probably start for them if they end up trading MWP in the Dwight deal which is a real possibility....whereas in Miami he'd be playing the Juwan Howard role.

To me grant hill could have served us in a similair role as battier, too bad for him he is one year too late. I really hope lands on a good team and stays healthy though.

We don't NEED Terrel Harris.

Fact is that taking Hill would hurt the other contenders - specifically LA - that would be a good enough reason. Having said that I'd prefer we work on getting a decent big. If we do this via trade then maybe we will need Hill.
I remember when the Dolphins were perennial contenders

It would be nice for him to win a ring Miami, though. Good guy.

I'd like him. Particularly if Miller is injured.

Rio/Cole
Wade/Ray Ray/JJ
Lebron/GHill/Mike Miller
Battier/Haslem/Lewis
Bosh/Joel

Glorious glorious wing play!

We could have had Camby + Grant HIll instead of Ray Allen

PG - Chalmers, Cole
SG - Wade, Grant Hill, Miller
SF - LeBron, Battier, Jones
PF - Bosh, Haslem, Lewis
C - Camby, Anthony, Pittman

He never said HE WANTED, he said that he would ONLY LISTEN if it was for the mini MLE. Im sure once NY offered 10 mil per year, he didn't even think twice about it.. Camby was never coming, get over it.

Agreed. Although our center position is that amazing, we needed to add shooting pieces around Wade, LeBron, Bosh to open the court more than we need a center. A center is just an added bonus, but if Bosh will play the center a lot next year we should be good. The league already saw that when we go small were still very hard to beat.
