They can get Aaron Brooks and they can still get Sessions.

Which player can Houston sign next year?
Howard -20 million
J-Rich - 6 mill
Hedo -12 mill
Scola - 10 mill

That's 48 million already tied up on 4 players. Salary cap is at 58 million.

Tell me how Morey will improve that team next year.

Toney Douglas

If Lowry started, and played with Dwight, he wouldn't have been. He didn't want to be disrespected by playing behind Dragic.

^ Try removing Turk and Jrich for one. Orlando may get a fair deal, but it certainly won't be a sweetheart deal. Second, we still have our amnesty, so Scolas money can be removed.

You are ignoring one thing. Houston has enough picks and prospects to make the Magic change their mind about dumping their bad contracts. Dumping bad contract on a Bynum package may still be a requirement because Bynum is going to be paid 20 mil a year on average and they need as much payroll flexibility to retool the team for Bynum.

The Rockets still have their amnesty left so you can just take that 10 MM for scola off the books. With some more maneuvering they will for sure have enough to offer a max contract to a player.

I am not ignoring it, I just don't think Magic FO is stupid enough to trade Howard for picks while keeping Hedo and J-rich on the roster.

Half hearted? You think a team with 7 power forwards can win in this league with a rookie pg, asik at center at best, and only one real veteran in Scola possibly getting minutes? If they don't get a star Scola will be shipped out and Martin will either be gone too or on the bench. The current Rockets roster is setup for a beautiful tank job.

The same franchise who let Dragic walk away is going to pay Scola $21 million for the next 2 years so he can sign somewhere else? Yeah, I doubt it.

That depends on the Houston package. A good enough cap relief+prospect package should not require Houston to take on Hedo or J-Rich, especially since Dwight won't commit to an extension. The Magic are more likely going to require a salary dump on the Lakers for any Bynum deals, and all we have are smaller bad contracts to send out.

You should do some more research. A majority of Scola's last year is not guaranteed.

Rox rumored to be in talks with Aaron Brooks. Brooks Bynum Scola are nice pieces to start with.

I still think he's going to the Nets by the end of this.
