No.
Most of us in the Bynum camp just go to bed earlier.

Lakers or Houston, honestly, as long as it isn't the Nets.

tank for Shabazz Mohammed in 2013 and draft Nerlens Noel with the Toronto pick
maybe do bad enough in 2014 to draft one of Jabari Parker, Wiggins or Julius Randle forming a Thunder like core of

Mohammed
Parker
Nicholson
Noel

with assets in Lamb, O'Quinn and White off the bench.

This type of tanking will require us trading off BBD, KMartin for picks/stop-gaps, which I support.

And we'll get the top pick just like the Bobcats did... wait.

HOUSTON!!!! :D

It will be the Lakers. Once Dwight sees he's about to be dealt to Houston he will agree tyo sign an extension to play with the Lakers and Kobe, Nash, and Gasol.

Huston is nowhere near a championship. Dwight knows that.

That really doesn't matter because if Henny feels like the Houston package is better then that is where Dwight is going.

I don't know why, but I kind of think it will still be the lakers too. Henny seemed to use the BK deal to set up things. Houston bit and could beat it, then he used that deal to play against LA who we have been rumored to be interested in the entire time. Now you hear the lakers may be willing to take a contract back, which is a good hint that they feel threatened by the Houston deal. Hell, he may have had LA/HOU in talks for a 3 way deal to show LA that Houston is serious about doing this. LA is ready to give a little more, which you hardly ever hear. I could take either, there is risk in each scenario.

I'm going to agree. If I HAD to bet, I would say getting Bynum back is a lot easier to sell to fans than going into full tank mode. If the Lakers take back JRich, it's a done deal.

As opposed to a trade for Bynum and cap relief which would set us up to compete in a year or 2.
You MUST have a superstar to attract additional stars in today's NBA.

I wish you guys who were harping for draft picks would study theACTUAL probability rates of these picks actually panning out rather than using the miraculous and lucky Thunder as an example.

Its not that big of a crap shoot when you have very good scouting and management that believes in building through the draft. Look at the two organizations that Henny has been with and tell me how they got to where they are now.

It's not an either or.

San Antonio got lucky when the Admiral was injured for a year, landing them Duncan. They the won a championship with a top big man and then drafted well in the MID and LATE first round to build their current nucleus.

You can land Bynum and still draft well in the latter half of the first round a la San Antonio.
What you cannot do is guarantee that one of these hypothetical picks will ever be as good as Bynum.

I live in LA and actually watched Bynum play about 40 times last year. I used to get mad when so called experts would claim he would one day be better than Dwight.

I believe them now.
This is a great opportunity for the Magic.

True that is one way to go and it could work out but building through the draft is another and while I can't say that any of the picks would be better then Bynum you can't tell me they won't either. I believe Henny is going to build this team his way and that is strictly through the draft and maybe with a couple young low level free agents. I have no problem with Bynum the guy is very skilled but I don't think he is a special player but thats just me. I feel like Henny is going to go with Houston and make this team his own way.

Why do we need to do this 3 team deal with Houston? If we want these young players and picks, just deal with Houston straight up. It seems like LA isn't adding anything of value our way in the 3 teamer, so it makes no sense.
