What people don't realize is that Devos loves Dwight like a son. I can definitely see an 80 some year old man giving a young man what his heart desires. I wouldn't and neither would anyone else here on these forums but Devos might. I hope not.
Too bad Dwight has no respect for him or the team.

Question, is Bynum's character a description of what Rob and the DeVos look for in a player?

This is what scares me.

RDV can easily grant Dwight's wish as a token of appreciation for 7.5 yrs of service.

But but but .. Ric Bucher said he didn't like Orlando   Bucher sucks

Neither Andrew Bynum nor his agent has been contacted by any team to gauge his interest in signing a long-term deal if traded, source says.

As of yesterday, Lakers assured Bynum's camp, "Nothing's happening" on the trade front, a person close to the All-Star center said.

Yeah I think he wants to win sooner than later, but I can see DeVos thinking fans will hate him for trading Dwight to LA. Obviously no one here would since the Brooklyn trade was so god awful, but I could see him thinking it

No matter what I think that tweet is very scary

This makes me nervous:

Brian K. Schmitz‏@MagicInsider
If Magic owner Rich DeVos wants to sell team after this Dwightmare and pull out of Stern's 5-team league, I couldn't blame him one bit.

Brian K. Schmitz‏@MagicInsider
Why isn't Stern stepping in to referee Dwight deal like he did with L.A./N.O and Chris Paul? Oh, yeah, Magic aren't owned by league.

Brian K. Schmitz‏@MagicInsider
Love to hear Commissioner David Stern's pep talk to Magic about the system after they lose Dwight Howard for peanuts.

Lopez's agent pushing Nets to either sign Lopez for themselves or do a sign-and-trade by end of the day.

Chad Ford ‏@chadfordinsider
Nets fearful of an offer sheet for Lopez from another team if they don't act by end of day. Offer sheet would kill sign-and-trade anyway

Trading Dwight Howard goes above GM Rob Hennigan's head. Final decision of this magnitude made by owner Rich DeVos and family.

This isn't as uncommon as some here might want to believe. Henny's job is to put together the best deal (or deals) possible and then present them with his recommendations.

In a case like this just about every GM would end the conversation with "Let me talk to ownership for their final approval."

I think this is bad.

If Bynum's out, and the Nets are out..then Houston is all that's left and they have all the leverage

Ownership probably reviews or is at least made aware of every trade beofe it happens. Devos has the authority to reject anything. It is not like the GM has free reign. It is the same as every major business decission, there is collaboration from people high and small.

Any franchise changing move will likely need the support of the frnchise owner. Not surprised with this.
