Thats what you took from the Interview? I just got that whether its a start player or a role player, they just want guys who really want to play here. Interesting prospective though!

I understood that they don't want to rely on one player anymore, but want to build a team fits. Trading for Bynum = staying right where we are now.

He said a "superstar type" player... Good thing Bynum is not a superstar

Maybe you should unfollow the fake brousard...

Im following the real BrousSard though. lol. I have no idea. This guy just showed upa t the top of my timeline. Maybe it was a retweet. Anyway I already blocked the fake one so it wouldn't happen again.
Even looking at the name the guy put "per league source" and Broussard is the only analyst that uses that combination of words.

Well Bynum is not a superstar though and I highly doubt Bynum could carry a team by himself ( not Stats but win wise). I think what Rob means is a Team Like The Thunder or Spurs. While not on one player, they still have a superstar and very good all stars or former all stars on their teams. So Bynum is not necessarily out, but he will not be the "Franchise" player here because they will find him other parts and compliments that have the likes of being groomed into a James Harden or Ginobili. Thats what I think.

anyone else think if we do trade dwight to the rockets he's eventually gonna end up with the hawks and then we gotta deal with an angry dwight for 4+ years? im all for sending him to LA and hoping he resigns.

good point and I'm sure Rob has analyzed that scenario.

I feel like a trade has happened and is finalizing or is wrapping up. haven't heard anything all day. I feel like if it is going to happen they don't want to leak information, but instead have it completed. I'm just stretching my mind here. I'm going downtown, hope to have so many pages of reading what a great deal Rob got us when I return.

I hope it's done before Henny arrives at the summer league game at 5pm. So, that gives us about 4 hours.

It's not gonna be today.

No deal is close to finished yet, and it takes a long time to finalize these things even when they're pretty much done.

I imagine they'll have to narrow it down to who they want to deal with first before we can speculate it's end. Once they pick the Rockets/Lakers/or Nets (lol) then we'll probably see some good progress. Until then one team could just jump back in and up the ante and restart it all

Does anyone know where I can download the Magic @ Rockets 2010 Preseason game?...

I need to make a gif of when Jameer lays his hand in between Dwights legs while sitting on the bench.... Jameer smirked and Dwight bursted out laughing and threw his arm off his crouch.

Til this day I can't believe noone else saw, I guess it was a preseason game tho...

From the interview I posted earlier, I didn't take away that we're immediately excluding Bynum. It's possible to have star players that buy into a "team-related strategy", and it's almost essential in order to win.

Kevin Durant/Russell Westbrook/James Harden/Serge Ibaka is a core with star talent that all make sacrifices for the better of the team.

Tim Duncan/Tony Parker/Manu Ginobili have been doing the same for years.

Whoever we get is going to be expected to put the team first. D12 was only concerned about himself all of last year and his endeavor to get traded and it's not conducive to team chemistry. Bynum could very well come here and buy into Rob's plan and plan to be the cornerstone of our franchise. It would be Rob's job to surround him with the Parker and Ginobili (via draft?).

D12, as great a player he is, never matured into the leader that D. Rose, K.D., or even Lebron have become. Not saying that Bynum has either, but because Bynum has the game to back it up, with leadership of Shaw and other vets around him, I think he can master the mental aspect of the game that D12 has yet to.

The prospect of that alone, Bynum's possible maturity combined with his game, makes me more inclined to take the LA deal. There's potential to get a really big piece to the puzzle.

That's probably exactly what will happen. If he can't go to his place of choice and can't stay here, then ATL wins by default since they've positioned themselves nicely, already have his good friend and it's his home. I wouldn't count out Dallas though... dwight seems to be infatuated with Cuban.

I think HOU tries to become players in 2013 and sign Monta and/or Iggy to appease D12.

If the Magics want high draft picks and cap space available, then the Rockets seem like the logical choice.

The only issue is will Dwight want to play for Houston, a team that is rebuilding. Be a huge gamble for Houston
