The only issue is will Dwight want to play for Houston, a team that is rebuilding. Be a huge gamble for Houston

That's not our issue if they are willing to take that gamble, which obv they are.

I think HOU tries to become players in 2013 and sign Monta and/or Iggy to appease D12.

If we trade with them ,they can pair up Dwight with Monta and/or Iggy and D12 resigns with them, I'll be rooting for them. I won't if the Magic should ever meet them tho :)

Just foul him and make him shoot free throws. That is how we lost so many games here am I right? :D

I'm pretty sure the fact they are actively engaged in talks and have been stockpiling picks etc etc makes it a bit obvious. Almost everyone has come out and stated they are willing to gamble on him. I think something is obviously there. I don't think they are going to put all of this together and then simply just be like "nope, we don't actually want to do it".

I'm not saying things can't change....of course they can. But as of right now, it's pretty obvious they are willing to.

On a more serious note: Anyone know when Dwight's signing the extension?

Nobody said that was obvious. But it was obvious the Nets were going after him.

Oh they want to do it, it's likely nowhere close to the offer people are expecting though.

I remember a report back when it seemed the Lakers were in front and Hou wasn't talked about much - that "the Rockets were interested but would only do so much for a rental". I don't think it will have changed. After the Nets talks and resuming the talks with the Lakers they probably upped their offer a bit, but I would imagine they still have that max level that they won't go over for a rental

The fact they're even talking to the Nets again shows you how weak the Houston offer must be

Not saying it is....but could easily be a ploy to make HOU/LAL up the ante. Everybody's back is against the wall today.
