this. this potentially can be a big deal if we do end up not trading for howard this off season. bynum might pull a ray allen and be butt hurt all season and then decide not to resign here in the long run. whatever does ultimately happen, one thing is for sure, this is gonna be a fun season.

That same guy you guys are so concerned about was the same one involved in trade discussions back in March. And all he did afterwards was break a Laker record and put up some triple doubles. Nothing major.

Ken Berger ‏@KBergCBS
Lopez can't be traded til 1/15 -- not 12/15 -- bc he's a Bird free agent re-signed by an over-the-cap team with a raise of more than 20%.

let's push it to 2/15 while we're at it

If the Magic Front Office is dumb enough to wait it out another 5-6 months they deserve to lose him for nothing.

We should just extend bynum now. Screw Howard. Clearly the magic only follow Dwight's order. They couldn't get a trade done with the nets which meant that they needed to end talks because Dwight demanded it to be over (my logic no sources). Now Dwight will say he loves Orlando and that he wants to stay only to leave the team next year.

Bynum wants to be here (my opinion). Extend him and depend on him. Dwight will go down as coward/loser. Lets see what Nash does to our offense and move on.

I don't know why people are screaming to extending Bynum, he isn't going to extend on his current contract either. No one is. Contracts that were established during the last CBA hinder players from getting the money that they could if they become a UFA first and sign a contract under this new CBA.

If bynum could get HARD (in the basketball since) and stay agressive, i'd say yeah sing him for 4yrs.
but you just dont know what goes through the dome of his....

and yeah i do think we have been played by d12 and the magic

You're right. I was being sarcastic but I honestly still think we should ship Bynum to the 76ers for iggy and Thad. I think we need to focus on trading Bynum instead of Pau now that we have nash. Send Bynum for a backup pg, an athletic wingman, and a stretch/althletic four. Start Pau at C and I'm telling you we get GOOD results.

How are you going to be the best center in the NBA and not know which team gives you the best chance at winning a NBA champ?

Geez, this guy is worse than LeBron in my opinion. Such a spoiled brat he is... :nonono:

With Howard being put on hold,I think the Lakers should look to trade Bynum somewhere else, but I doubt Jim Buss will allow it. Bynum doesn't have the mentality to be a franchise player. Trade him now before it's too late and he gets injured and his stock goes down :-x.

At least with LBJ we all had a set date and time when we would know where he was going (even if it was ridiculous).. This Dwight **** is so pointless

If the Nets are going ALL-IN they might as well make a decent offer to Humphries and stack up their roster on depth. Ifthey gel well they have a chance to atleast outlast the Knicks' messy roster in the East, which would be a huge step forward for their Brooklyn move.

Who knows, if Hump actually plays well Orlando might want him in December in exchange for Big Baby.

How about you guys stop trying to be GM's and just ride with Bynum or if D12 is available hopefully get him. What kind of future does trading Bynum for Iggy and Thad Young give the Lakers? I honestly think of alot of guys just fall in love with players but never really assess how their value. Iggy avg 12 pts a game. Thad 12 ppg and had a very avg playoff run...Iggy's best days are gone and Thad Young is a good role player at best.
