Why Not Courtney Lee If Gordon Deal Fails?

Post#1 » by SDC » Thu Jul 12, 2012 2:16 am

bill simmons like him. of all the teams pursuing him, the suns are the only team that can give him the starting job + minutes he wants at the SG position. use goran dragic to recruit him. then we'd have imported the houston backcourt to phxsuns. :)

3 yrs 18 mil would do it.

Well here's the deal:

He's not the caliber nor type of player we're after.

No use locking up long term money in role players.

Mayo has potential to blow up, he is the only guy I would sign for more than a year after EG is matched.

but he's a GOOD role player even if what you said is true. that's how much i would pay and the length i would offer for a "good role player" that can start. i would definitely not over pay mayo.

courtney lee may "love" boston, but i believe money talks louder. 3 yrs 18mil. get it done once hornets match gordon's contract.

I like CLee but he is not what the Suns need. Pass, especially at $6M per year.

If you're going the "Courtney Lee" route, you might as well snag up Foye or T-Will. Both are better than Lee.

I`d rather give a chance to David Lighty on the cheap than pay significant money to role players like Lee or Rush.

Only sg`s I like on the market for the Suns right now are Mayo and T-Will.

Why would you give T-Will significant money? The guy only played in 30 games last year and 21 the year before, barely can crack 40% shooting most of the time, and barely cracks 30% most of the time from three.

It's not like he's played for good teams either and is buried...he's played for crap teams but is barely able to make it on the floor...

I was obviously misunderstood in previous post.

I`d give Terrence Williams around 3 mil per year, with that `significant money` (which is around 5-6 mil, imo) I was referring only to Lee and Rush. Mayo, on the other hand, for that money still has more potential than those two.

Kerrsed and I still love TWill, and also likely his mom. That appears to it
