He twisted his knee in practice and will be having an MRI today. Anthony Davis is being called up as a replacement.

:nonono:

Whatever happened, I just hope it's not too serious.

Woj is saying it's his left knee, the same knee he sprained during the playoffs.

Sam Amick is saying that the injury occurred yesterday. Blake woke up today with some swelling and is having it checked out. Maybe it's just an aggravation of the original injury.

If he injured it yesterday and only went in for an MRI today based on some swelling today I don't think it will be that serious.

They sent him home to LA and brought up Anthony Davis who has a severely sprained ankle. They would've kept him if it was just a tweak or a little sore. Doesn't look good but hopefully no major damage.

Hopefully its not serious. It might not be anything to bad, but him having the MRI is being safe then sorry.

Lakers fan here. I'm also an NBA fan and an American. I really really hope that Blake is just fine and this MRI is only precautionary. My prayers are that he'll be ready to go to play in London to represent USA. If not, I hope he's healed and ready to go by camp. He's a phenomenal athlete.

He is out of the Olympics because of this. Between the extension he just signed and the knee flaring up again, they are hoping that Davis' ankle is good to go. Man, I was supposed to go to tonight's game but had to cancel, it would have sucked to have both my guys out with injuries!

It's not severe.

Anthony Davis’ ankle injury was not as severe as first reported and he will attend the USA Basketball Olympic training camp in Las Vegas starting later this week, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports and the NBC Sports Network.

And hopefully he doesn't aggravate it playing with Team USA. He was set to play in the summer league games so apparently he's close to %100. Not quite there yet though.

I doubt the management would support him going back even if the injury is minor. They just paid him big money, but we'll see. The experience would have been great for him, but at least there is the backup plan of working with Olajuwon if he doesn't go.
