Sessions is a better point guard at this point than Kemba who still needs developement, so will bringing in Sessions further delay Kemba's progression? How will Sessions feel about being a teacher for the young guard, how will Kemba feel about another PG being brought in to possibly run the show?

I would have preferred to see Kemba run the show since he was drafted so high and knowing that he's still raw as a PG, but ultimatley the game is about winning not developing players, thats what AAU, and college is for. Good pick for the Bobcats, I dont know if it's good for Kemba though.

:o   Bye DJA....You did a good job with what you had to work with here. And you weren't even suppose to be here. Brook Lopez is a top 5 center in NBA and should be starting for usn since his carreer started. Now Brooklyn has him locked in and watch what they do in the east next year. Top 4 seed. Sessions is an good move to get bigger and better at point and I predict will start after 20 games.
KW is better off bench with BG. JT TT and UPS.

Not sure we want Haywood at center who has been amensitied by Dallas as reported on wires that we are interested??
I have been watching allot of summer league ball and Indiana is loaded with centers.
Wonder if we could get Aldrich or Plumlee  :-?

I really don't know how DLeague works but I thought NBA teams could only have 15 players on Roster DAY 1 of season. Theres allot of good Hungry players to be had? Can NBA TEAMS stash extra players in DLeague or over in Europe? Hows that work Anyway?

I'll bet you anything Kemba will be starting. Sessions is the perfect option off the bench for Kemba. NO way you can have both Kemba and Gordon off the bench, plus Dunlap has plays specifically designed for Kemba. I Just don't see Sessions starting, not matter how much competition there is. Kemba would have to fall flat on his face, I think.

Exactly. Kemba meshes OK with Henderson, while Sessions will mesh well with Gordon.

At least our back court will be alright next season. Our front court? Eh

In no way will Sessions be the opening day starter. Well, unless Kemba is injured.

I'll take that bet. Winner paypals 10 dollars

I agree with you. Dunlap will hit them with the youth first (we're still tanking, after all) of Kemba/Hendo/MKG/FA/Biz. Once they start getting their asses kicked, Sessions/Gordon/Taylor(maybe UPS)/Mullens/FA will come in to provide scoring and maybe keep it competitive. Kemba will be the starter, but I bet Ramon plays starter's minutes more often than not.

I don't think this will help Kemba Chucker's development. I like Sessions, but I'm torn on this one.

What's the difference between him and DJ. You act as if Sessions style is all that different from DJ. And even if he was more of true PG not sure how that effects Kemba's development.

I like this signing. It makes sense and was the best replacement for DJ.

Haven't their been at least two times where we nearly traded for him? Great passer. Im content with Sessions though on a two year deal.

Tell you one thing I am tired of, and thats the PG wars in Charlotte. Felton Knight, Felton Mcinnis, Walker Sessions, etc.

Organization sets themselves up for this madness every single year.

Bobcats sign Ramon Sessions

So we hire a coach to taylor his whole offense around kemba and then we replace kemba we some cat we just picked up off the street? How does that make sense?

kemba and sessions are very similar players. the offense doesnt change for either. thats the good thing about this signing. sessions is every bit as aggressive coming off pick and roll and attacking the paint as kemba. both want to push the tempo and both are a blur with the ball. kemba is better at creating his own offense, sessions is better passer. its a good fit. its kembas job to lose. he'll be fine.

If Kemba was really that good, this wouldn't even be a discussion. HOWEVER, Sessions is a better PG now than Kemba, and should be given every opportunity to win the starting job & minutes. You guys take everything "nice" comment said by the front office or brand new coach too literally. Look at what we're doing! Sign Sessions, still pursuing Humphries and Haywood (who would both start). MJ expects this team to get better a lot faster than you think. They are clearly willing to invest in some quality players w/reasonable contracts to compete now and into the future. Yes we drafted Biz and Kemba in the lottery. There is no guarantee either of them are ready to step up and be THE MAN at their position. Clearly we drafted MKG 2nd with the intention of starting him there and committing to him. Kemba and Biz, even Mullens, are viewed as part of our future, but not sure starters. Henderson seems to have earned his spot, but everything else is wide open.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

True, but I just want another top 5 pick. The NBA treadmill is just horrid. Make some nice signings to not be horrifically bad but dont commit to anything longterm.

That being said I hope Sessions amd Walker kill themselves trying to win the starting job.

That is your opinion, also all of that other you were spewing does not match up either, MJ said in his interview with ESPN that how fast we are a playoff team is all dependent on how long it takes our young guys to develop, you do not develop rotting on the bench.
