Lakers. But yeah, we have a solid fanbase on Twitter. I'm sure that's partly due to not having an NFL, NHL or MLB team...

Tampa is not that far away man!

That where I and a TON of Magic fans are from.

Talks have stopped, Lakers are out of it (they'll remain in the shadows in case talks break down but that's it), Houston is going to amnesty Scola on Friday, Henny gave some very vague answers and also said the amnesty on Scola doesn't affect a Dwight trade, Hawks have increased their position, and Dwight rejected Henny's idea of staying on Orlando

That's pretty much it for the last day and half.

LMAO at some of you wanting Greg Oden. If some of you consider Andrew Bynum as Grant Hill part deux, then WTF is Greg Oden?

Some guy we take a risk on a small contract.

To me i don't care as long as he is out west.

I would play hardball for Westbrook and tell them this...

Harden, durant, Dwight >>>>>>> Westbrook, Durant, harden

ummmmm if we are rebuilding and tanking this year what is the harm in gambling?? If he signed to the contract i said and he gets injured or sucks, we are out $3 million in a year where we have TONS of cap space. who cares? IF he pays off, it could be huge for us.

Lets just say for fun if it was your money that was being spent on this team. Would you be so cavalier with 9 million dollars then? Hey I have a Ferrari on sale for 50,000 but it has a bad transmission and frame damage. How bout it?

just to clarify...it would be $9 million TOTAL for three years. So, $3 million a year with last two years a team option. I don't see the harm unless he can not play at all. Then there is no need. If he can play, its worth the risk. IMO

Jameer/Wayns
Harden/JJ
JRich/Hedo
Ibaka/Nicholson
BBD/Perkins

could be interesting. But yeh, both those guys will get big deals and we would still have JRich on the books....don't see the point of it.

Don't forget - Harden has proven he can play the point very well.
But this deal won't happen.

Swap Westbrook with Harden, and we have ourselves a midseason trade.

But as of now, I prefer Houston's offer, just like the possibilities.

+1000
Got to get Westbrook to make this trade.
Harden is a bit overrated.

Yeh, I don't really understand this idea of a lottery team wanting KMart. Why would they really give up a good draft pick for him?? And what valuable piece is a contender going to give up to us for him? I think the smartest move is simply to keep him as an expiring and use that large cap space to go after a top free agent.

I agree. That is what I am starting to think as well. Use him for a year for his scoring and then bye-bye. I do not think a lotto team would want him. Maybe a contender like CHI but no way they would give us JL3 or Teague plus the salaries do not match up.

Some lottery teams are probably dumb enough to trade a pick for KM. MJ and the Bobcats come to mind...

Even though I'm a n00b, here's your recap of Dwight to Houston:

The Rockets offer a dream scenario for the Magic to get the best possible outcome -- a total rebuild -- with picks, young players, cap room AND probably a good shot at the No. 1 overall pick after a poor season.

Houston's assets:

Cap room: Needed to take on the contracts of Jason Richardson, Hedo Turkoglu, Chris Duhon, Quentin Richardson, Glen Davis ... as much of this dead weight as possible.

Draft picks: Orlando would like to get multiple first-rounders with no protection, but the very least that the Magic should come away with has to be the Toronto Raptors' future first-rounder, which Houston acquired in the Kyle Lowery trade, and the Rockets' own first-rounder in 2013, which could possibly even be a lottery pick if Howard isn't happy and sulks or if his back isn't 100%.

SG Kevin Martin: Talented scorer with an expiring contract worth over $12 million in 2012-13. Think of him as cap room next summer.

SG Jeremy Lamb: Rookie with skills and a ridiculous wingspan who was just drafted 12th overall.

SF Chandler Parsons: Orlando native who had a very good rookie season and exceeded everyone's expectations of a second-round pick.

PF Patrick Patterson: Lots of potential entering his second season.

SF Royce White: Hard-working, physical rookie who was drafted 16th overall. Has anxiety disorder.

PF Terrence Jones: Rookie with potential who was taken 18th overall. Some don't love his on-court demeanor, but he's got tools.

F Marcus Morris: Didn't do much as a 2012 rookie lottery pick (overshadowed by Parsons), but has size and talent.

PG Shaun Livingston: Affordable backup with some skill and great size (6-foot-7). Rockets acquired him in the Samuel Dalembert trade.

PF Jon Leuer: Second-round pick who showed a bit of a scoring touch with the Bucks as a rookie before the Rockets acquired him in the Dalembert trade.

C Josh Harrelson: Bulky backup big man (another UK product) who was acquired in the Marcus Camby sign-and-trade after an OK rookie year.

SG Toney Douglass: Backup guard who was acquired in the Camby trade. Originally from Tampa.

What do you think?

better be at least....KMart/Lamb/White and 3 picks. Getting Parsons and/or Douglass thrown in would be great though. Don't think we have a need for Morris or Patterson.

As a fan, I'd be thrilled with this ...

Houston gets:
Dwight Howard, Jason Richardson, Chris Duhon, Quinton Richardson

Orlando gets:
Kevin Martin, Jeremy Lamb, Chandler Parsons, Royce White, Houston's 2013 first-rounder and Toronto's future first-rounder

WIN!

actually, Harden hasnt proven he can play point. he has proven he can handle the ball and make plays from SG. he isnt quick enough to play and defend the point. That was obvious in the playoffs

If we trade with OKC, it has to be Westbrook. I do not want Harden at max and Ibaka at near max. We would never win a title with those two as main pieces. With Westbrook, we could build around him.
