Vaughn = Shaw IMO. Both were smart, but not great players. Both served as assistants under coaching legends. For both it would be their first HC gig. And we're going to suck hard anyways.

I think a coach in this mold would be a better mentor to our young guys because they're not so far removed from their playing days. They''ll be learning how to be a HC while our younger players are learning how to be NBA players (that's if the Houston trade goes down)

Couldn't the Magic and Rockets agree on a trade in principal and then work out the details once everything else is done?

I think that's what happened, Rockets are just waiting what will happen with Lin and Asik, and Magic searches a HC during this waiting.

Not sure why Lin and Asik are holding things up. They supposedly haven't put pen to paper there yet, they could just back off and finalize the Dwight trade.

This would mean the only bad deal on the books is QRich. I could see QRich being a solid guys to keep around. Maybe even one we could trade later for future picks or promising player if he steps in to the starting lineup and performs like we know he can.

Looks like the deal is done. No way they amnesty Scola without the deal in the bag.

Sort of old news. They started following them around 10-11 PM last night. Scola isn't yet amnestied. All signs are pointing to a deal, but let's not jump the gun yet.
