Mack sucks!

We need a huge upgrade at backup PG. Jordan Crawford is a much better option as a backup PG. At least he has NBA talent.

I think Singleton is more a liability than Mack. I doubt Singleton's option get's picked up unless there are serious improvements. Washington getting blown the heck out.

Well, at least Beal looks good.

Buckhantz said Jordan Farmar will get bought out by Atlanta. I'd look to sign him.

You mean MarShon Brooks? He's another CCJ guy. Told you he sucks. :)

Brooks tied an Orlando SL record by scoring 34 today.

Brad Beal almost brought me tears of joy today.

That kid will be better than John Wall, if he isn't already. He already competes HARD at both ends. Shot is money if he's open. Looks better finishing with his off hand that I imagined. Has no problem finishing near the rim. Plays above the rim on defense. Had a couple really nice blocks. His handle could be tighter and he's not going to beat guys with one-on-one moves.

If Beal were a little bigger, I would say he could be a superstar some day. As it is, he looks like he's going to put up 20 ppg by his 2nd or 3rd year in the league. That kid is GOOD!

Beal is going to be fantastic for this team for a long time. Forget 2-3 years - he might lead our team in scoring THIS year!

Only saw the highlights and the box score, but I'm impressed from what I've seen so far from Beal. I love that he attempted 10 free throws though I'm a little puzzled about the 0 rebounds. Probably just an anomaly.

Vesely with 10 fouls. :nonono:

Singleton's box score looks very nice. 20 points, 8 boards, 4 steals, 2 assists, 2 blocks, 7/13 shooting. The only blemish is the 5 turnovers.

I thought Beal played okay, I didnt watch anyone on the floor but him and for the most part he didnt move to make himself for available for a pass. It seemed like jenkins was in constant movement coming off screens. I'd like more activity from him.

This first day in vegas just shows how the 2011 draft was an abject failure. Vesely, mack, and most notably singlton have been drastically outplayed by players selected lower than them today.

I thought Beal played better in the first half than the second. He struggled with his outside shot in the second. At least he started taking it to the rim which was nice to see.

I don't see the Singleton hate. He was pretty non-existent in the first half, but brought it in the second. I don't think Mack was as god awful as people made him out to be. Yeah, he wasn't connecting on his shots and sometimes picked up his dribble too soon, but he was also robbed from several assists because Ves couldn't dunk the ball and other's missed shot. Ves was pretty disappointing. It was nice to see him hit some open jumpers, but he looked a step slow all night and was a foul machine.

Not sure where else to post this, but just wanted to comment saw something about Hopla, and was just curious was this something instigated by Wall, or is it something the Wizards are providing? If the later, my next question would be why aren't they doing that for the whole team? Vesely, Singleton, Mack, Booker, etc etc, they all could use it!

My hate on Singleton is that while the game was still meaningful, he was non-existent. Turning it over, not rebounding, couldn't take his man to the basket (which is a huge red flag to me), and pretty much playing awful basketball--even for summer leagues. He was a starter in the NBA, he should play much better while the game meant something. He put up a decent stat line, but that was when the game was completely out of question, of which he was a key contributor.

Singleton has been a disappointment for me also, and I had high hopes when he was drafted. When I watch him... he's just not "active", kinda floats around. Not aggressive on either end of the floor. Probably better suited as a stretch 4 than a SF.

I was thinking the same thing. What do you think his price would be?

Hate is a strong word, although I do wish Chris were a better player.

I also wish the Wizards had drafted Kawhi Leonard when they drafted Vesely, and that they had drafted Kenneth Faried instead of Chris Singleton.

Okay, I hate the fact the Wizards might have been able to select better given the picks they had.

Yep. You were high on him. I loved his skills for a very big man.

Some detractors thought Motiejunas was too weak to succeed in the NBA.
