Kobe Bryant on retirement:

Post#1 » by EvilSperm » Sat Jul 14, 2012 1:49 pm

"It's been 17 years. I probably got another three years left, max," Bryant said. "Seventeen years is a long time. A lot of people don't play that long."

Don't know if it really's gonna be 3 years

I say he either retires when his current contract ends(in 2 seasons) or he resigns for another 2 years

Don't think he'll resign just for one year,so if he plans to play after his current contract ends I think he'll play 2 years and not one...thus retiring after 4 years from now

He may change his mind if he's relatively healthy and within reach of the all time scoring record,or if we somehow get Dwight and contend for more than 3 years

so he plans on retiring when he's 36? Well I guess he wants to go out still an elite player. I wonder if that's one of the reasons why management seemed more willing to spend money with the acquisition of Nash this offseason.

Yea maybe the plan is to go out on a threepeat, I'd be ok with that.

I'm going to be drunk for a week when Kobe retires, it's gonna be a sad day. I didn't do the same when Magic retired only because I had just turned 4.

Once the haters realize that the game is missing one of the greatest players to ever step foot on the court I think they will change their stance on Kobe.

Kobe's going to play when he's 40. Probably take a year off and come back MJ style.
