SATURDAY, 5:42pm: Ebanks has yet to sign the Lakers' qualifying offer because the team asked him to wait as he may be signed-and-traded to the Magic, reports Alex Kennedy of HoopsWorld (via Twitter). Once Ebanks signs, he cannot be traded until December 15.

Ebanks had been linked to the Magic earlier in FA, would make sense if we're planning on bringing in Grant Hill too(not many minutes here for Ebanks most likely).

SATURDAY, 5:53pm: The Cavs are still open to a sign-and-trade with Jamison so long as the team doesn't have to take any players back in the transaction, tweets Spears.

WEDNESDAY, 7:57pm: The Cavs and Nets have had talks about a sign-and-trade that would send unrestricted free agent Antawn Jamison to the Nets, Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports reports (Twitter link). The Lakers, who can only offer the veteran's minimum, Warriors and Bobcats are all in the mix for Jamison as well, Spears adds.

Maybe Jamison could go to the Lakers in this potential 3-way trade with the Cavs and Magic.

Broke news on B. Lopez competing offer sheets, ORL holding on to Howard, and Rockets intent to only absorb 1-2 bad deals

that would just complicate things, since it would mean the lakers would be less able to take on a magic bad deal because they'd be absorbing jamison's cash instead.

He'll be right eventually. Then he can claim "you heard it here first!" Tabloid psychics use the same trick.

is espn the last to report all these rumors? i have had espn radio on all day and they are talking about the "latest" on dwight howard, and they say "there is no latest. houston is trying to get him, even though dwight has no interest into signing long term there." and for god sakes they had ric bucher on earlier this week with "live" news that was about 8 hours old earlier this week.

Ofcourse Bynum won't agree to an extension....the cavs need to take a risk and assume he'd sign there as he reportedly stated he would a week ago. But if you give him the direct choice he'll never sign an extension considering how he would rather stay here, and I don't blame him for that.

Been told by several trusted sources now that talks between Lakers, Cavs & Magic are real. "Cavs, as usual, being a big pain," said one. But they want assurances Bynum would sign extension before even thinking about it.

doesn't everyone

Ping and Amico are both local if I'm not mistaken. Both of them reporting plus the hoopsworld people makes me think that there are def. talks going on.

Did everyone forget that Cleveland's on Bynum's apparent list of teams he'd sign an extension to?

Amico works for Fox Sports Cleveland, Ping works in Orlando.

Kyrie and Bynum would be a devastating duo, put some floor spacers around them and watch the magic happen.

Exactly why I think Cleveland would be foolish to not take the risk. I think Drew would rather stay here than go there, so he'll do what he can to not let the trade happen, but if the trade does happen I don't see him not-resigning.

I still think this whole Bynum not resigning is bunch of hogwash. He'll stay where he gets paid most, I would bet on it.

Bynum WILL resigns and why not to have someone who will call him up in Alaska to assure he would resign to satisfy the Cavs?

If bynum gets traded or not, I still see him testing free agency. i dont see him signing an extension, especially if he stays healthy this season.
