Taylor would be the PERFECT sixth man.

Anyone else want to see if MKG can play the 4 for a few minutes every game? He's bigger than I thought he was; I think he could be Shawn Marion-esque.

Only against smaller teams. I don't want to break our new toy after we just got him.

He's just a young boy, he ought not bang in the paint against NBA 4's, mm-hmm.

Not until he fills out anyway.

I think Hendo is a better 6th man than Taylor. 6th Men primarily need to be able to draw fouls (as in get opposing starters in foul trouble), play defense, and score some....

Plus Taylor's 3pt touch is much needed in our starting lineup,

Take Shabazz, plug him in at the 2, and hit win button. Shabazz and MKG playing together, who the heck wouldn't want that duo? That would be a nightmare for other teams.

Let's say Washington offers us Vesely and Blatche for Diop's expiring. I'd pull the trigger in a heartbeat. Would you guys do it?

I wouldnt. Blatche is a locker room distraction and Vesley is a bust. Diop might suck but he isnt s distraction and doesnt hold 2 contracts in his name.

How can you already definitively say that Vesely was a bust? He was a rookie in a shortened season.

the kid came in to the league with no basketball skills outside of dunking....i dont know how he is ever going going to be a good player...i think labeling him a bust is kinda accurate

Yes. Worst case scenario, Vesely turns into Chris Anderson minus the pedo thing and that's nice to have on a rookie contract. Blatche is still pretty young and is multi-talented. He definitely doesn't fit the Cho character evaluation test but really only Tyrus has a bad attitude on our roster and it never hurts to have a crazy guy or two.

I think the plan should be to keep drafting in the top five the next 2 years. Get a quality wing and big. This draft we could get Mohammed and a big the next draft and we would be ready to compete on a high level.

Yes. Depends on real measurements though. He is showing things that he could be Al Jefferson like player.

I have really been putting some serious thought into how much I do not like the way some our players mesh together.

For instance we have no outside shooters in our future core. Even if we draft Shabazz Muhammed, he is not a very good three point shooter more of a midrange and attack the basket type of player.

Kemba
Hendo
MKG

None of the above are great outside shooters to space the floor.

Our bench is much better shooters

Sessions
Gordon
Taylor

However if we start Gordon we will be really small. Sessions starting does not really make it look much better. I think the best solution as of right now would be to start Taylor at the 2 guard.

So,

Kemba- Sessions
Taylor-Gordon
MKG- Hendo

with Taylor and Hendo switching positions when on floor together.

I think a trade should be made to get a guy who can better complement our players. To me this means getting rid of Hendo, because MKG isn't going anywhere. Even if Kemba eventually comes off the bench and we have a point guard who can knock down the three ball. Neither wing guys can spread floor.

Gordon isnt a part of future most likely, so we cant count on him.

I wonder if Golden State would be willing to make a deal.

Charlotte out- Henderson, Diop, and Detroit or Portland pick.

Charlotte in- Klay Thompson and David Lee

Why for Charlotte- We get a lights out three point shooter with size that will complement both Kemba and MKG perfectly. Also, we land a power forward who can score in post, rebound, and hit midrange shot. Also, Biz can make up for Lee's bad defense.

Why for Golden State- They get a defensive wing which is much needed with a starting lineup of Curry, Thompson, and Barnes they will get scored on all day. So Henderson brings some athleticism, defense and midrange scoring while Curry and Barnes bomb away from deep. Having Curry, Thompson, and Barnes seems like overkill of outside shooting and none of them really are great shot creators. Also, maybe the biggest reason for them to do this deal. They get out from under Lee contract which is a pretty large 4 years 56 million for an expiring Diop. Also, they pick up a mid first rounder to keep getting better. They sign Carl Landry to play power forward for them who is interested, but worried about getting playing time.

Final Thoughts
We dont have to worry about Thompson hitting free agency as quick as Henderson. Instead of worrying about bringing in a good free agent next year we trade for a borderline allstar in David Lee, who yes is overpayed, but so is every other big man these days. We would defiantly improve with this deal immediately, so our pick would not be as good, but we could focus on landing a Center, upgrade at point guard possibly, or wing scoring in the next few drafts.
