Is this really happening or are people just trolling on twitter ? Too many reporters picking it up to be just a troll story. Maybe Knicks want Houston to think we won't match.

Maybe they are getting Felton as SG and as insurance in case Kidd gets hurt.

RT @StevePopper: The Knicks confirmed that they have not matched the Raptors offer for Landry Fields.

Maybe........

Knicks trying to get Felton AND Lin?

And the sources are confusing Knicks trying to trade Gadz, Jeffries for Felton with not re-signing Lin

By having the coach saying he was the starter?

Coach also said you win with veterans. Lin's basically a rookie, hype aside.

And, yet, he already said Lin was starting...soooo...yeah.

He's lucky he's not fat, because I would say "Jeremy you are so fat, go away."

He's not speculating, he's hearing from sources either within the knicks organization or close that they're mulling not to match Lin.

It is just going to take a year for Felton to get back in shape and "gel". Phuck that chit. Knicks have a champion caliber team now, they need to make the playoff push.

You cant say even if it's official... Lin should have followed the example of JR Smith and Novak, not that of his hand-shaking ritual partner!! Where is the christian morality here?! ;)

Maybe they feel that they have enough experience and depth with Kidd, Prigioni and Felton that they won't longer need Lin. Who says Kidd cannot start anymore? he could play the 1st and 4th quarters while Prig/Felton plays in between.

Grunnwald should be fired for even considering this.

So what? Besides the final year the deal is extremely fair, especially for what he'll make any team off the floor. He's a cash cow.

If you compare the Felton we had 1 1/2 years ago for $2 million a year versus Lin for $8 million a year...that's the gamble--which Felton will we get and what will Lin become. I would match Lin but I'm ready to roll with whoever wants to be here.

I don't see it possible to not re-sign Lin, there is NO WAY.

I would love adding felton...can play off the ball nicely...and take some back court pressure off lin when he's bringing the ball up...if he comes cheap...get him....but in regards to the biggest marketing money making machine that the garden has seen in many years leaving???...LOL....

Ehh if it's to get him as a SG, I could live with it. Felton isn't terrible off the ball. But his conditioning is horrible...
