You Lin haters are assuming Felton is going to play like he did for the first half of the season when he was a Knicks. You forget that he got fatter, slower, and **** at basketball.

my read: a alternative strategy of NY was just leaked to the media....you know how teams have options A, B, C, etc

I just cant see NY letting a cash cow like Lin go

I would be VERY surprised

Ummm, how?

By not matching Lin (Knicks) and Asik (Bulls). Which means no Dwight.

Then trade Felton, again, at the deadline. :D

They cant do it without his permission... but if they asked him if he wants to be traded, he'll fell in a severe depression that no therapist could help him out!! :)

They pay average -- roughly 8 per. The poison pill is only for the team that owns their respective rights (NY and CHI).

Give me a break man. Lin has not even played 30 games. HE HAS NOT PROVED ANYTHING. This is the kind of Knick fans in the world today

How many games did Felton play?

So you mean to tell me that extra 5-6 million in year 3 turned them from absolutely matching to not? BS.

Not a loophole. I knew about it. That's the whole part of the poison pill...hurts us more than them. They pay Lin an avg of 8 per year -- that's the cap hit. However, we'd actually have to pay the "real" amount per year -- 5.2, 5.2, 14+.

Someone posted this a few weeks ago.

ok. we knew that. the f*ck is marc spears talking about ? loophole ? marc spears don't f*ck with me right now. stupid.

Should have been locked after page 1 because Lin will bring in more Revenue than 15 million year 3.

You cant say even if it's official... Lin should have followed the example of JR Smith and Novak, not that of his hand-shaking ritual partner!! Where is the christian morality here?! ;)

I know u r probably 9 years old, but stop talking stupid. Knicks did NOT offer Lin a contract, they told him to go find out his "market value", what is Lin going to say to people throwing money at him??? Please make the offer lower so Knicks can save a few more dollars and have more choices?? THis is different from someone as a free agent who has several contracts in front of him, Lin has NO contract, can your little brain wrap around that??? He signs the contract exactly like the Knicks told him to do and now u wanna blame Lin??

And all that Christian trolling crap, that's even worse than race baiting... Oh, maybe u r not even 9 years old, u sound like u r 5.

Well somethings to consider.

Kidd is not really a PG anymore. He is more a good passing SG. He rarely guards PGs anymore.

Kidd and JR could hold down the SG and Felton could be the guy to play the backup role at PG.

If they are going Felton and no Lin then they are betting on one of the most inconsistent players in the league. His time in NY was the exception. Most places he has been it hit and miss with him. A NY Knick nightmare would be Felton returns to Portland level and Lin who was pretty much a rookie shows it was no fluke. Turns into a top level PG.

Lin people have to be nervous. Linsanity doesn't exist if not for the NY media. His earning power is not the same in Houston.

Doesnt he know hes messing with James Dolan. Nobody shows up James Dolan lol.

I still think were going to match though. Must admit, wouldnt be shocked if LIN barely averages 10 points a game on another team.

Truth is, this is MELOS team.

GTFO with this Lin vs. Melo bull. Lin can ball and is the wildcard for our championship hopes. If you deny that then you've got some severe lingering butthurt over Linsanity that you're gonna have to deal with.

Will Rockets later then trade Jeremy to Orlando for Dwight?

Rockets would get him at roughly $8 million a year...distributed evenly I believe.
