Knicks have absolutely not given Felton assurances that Lin would not be there and he doesn't need them, source said.

 Like I said very early on in this thread.

"Hey Jeremy, you want to get paid like a top guy because of what you make me off the court? Ok. I'll do it. But guess what? I'm bringing in 3 other PGs. I'm making my money off you now regardless. If you want to see the floor, then you prove it. Enjoy."

RutgersBJJ wrote:No real difference between Lin and Felton. Both have had a string of about 25 games in a Knick uniform that have defined their career. One's fat, the other an enigma. The fat one has a history up until this year of at least being an NBA quality player. The enigma is an enigma. As long as we end up with one we're fine. Last summer there were people willing to go with Douglas as our PG because of a tiny sample size when Billups was hurt and a fluke 40% 3 point season. I don't see this as a downgrade, just a horizontal move. It's about whether you would want half our PG minutes to have heavy risk of a player being a fluke, or heavy risk of a player being literally heavy.

Lol. What you said makes no sense. Lin was playing at a very high elite level. Felton played well. Big difference. Huge difference.

Jonathan Feigen: Tough to say if Glen Grunwald has gotten Lin offer sheet. Knicks have it. If necessary, NBA can say that's close enough, start the clock. 1 minute ago

This just seems impossible.

And i even like Felton. If you wanted him, should have just signed him over Kidd!

Lin & Felton >>> Lin & Kidd >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Felton & Kidd.

Just match Lin!

Doesnt he know hes messing with James Dolan. Nobody shows up James Dolan lol.

I still think were going to match though. Must admit, wouldnt be shocked if LIN barely averages 10 points a game on another team.

Truth is, this is MELOS team.

GTFO with this Lin vs. Melo bull. Lin can ball and is the wildcard for our championship hopes. If you deny that then you've got some severe lingering butthurt over Linsanity that you're gonna have to deal with.

Did I say Lin cant ball? No I didnt. I said you cant expect someone to be something when they barely played half a season. When he finally got some real PG competition, his weakness was shown. I still hate that he didnt play when he was 85 percent in the playoffs.

The point is, if he did this for an ENTIRE season, then yes I am all for it, but never in my LIFE would I choose LIN over MELO.

If you cant admit he is getting grossly overpaid, then you have something wrong with you

Lin over Melo? Is Lin playing SF? Are we trading Melo if Lin plays PG? Get this bull**** out of here.

We would not sign both Felton and Lin. Does not make sense since the luxury tax on Fat Felton's contract would not be worth it in addition to Lin's contract. So if we are actually signing Felton, Lin is as good as gone.

It could work

All 3 of them can play the SG, just keep a constant rotation between PG and SG, and just throw JR Smith in there for some SG minutes as well

I'll apologize again, I literally said it was fake right away and repeated myself like three times. I prefer not to be suspended, I have a 4 year history on this board and am not a troll.

Are Knicks trying to corner the PG market so Houston is stuck with Toney as their PG? I hope so, f*ck this poison pill BS.

1. Original source says that Felton's going to the Knicks
AND
That Lin is not being matched

2. Original source is vindicated by other, more reliable sources.

Therefore, since the original source has proven to be correct, then Felton is going the Knicks and Lin is not being matched.

Looks like it's over, folks.

Or did original source learn that Knicks were not signing Felton, and then assume that they were not matching Lin?
